Dozens of Fatah Loyalists Escape from Egypt

These were Fatah loyalists who fled Gaza when Hamas went on the Fatah Search and Destroy Mission and they ended up crossing into Egypt where they were apprehended and put in prison ...wait a minute, I thought the "palestinians" were an oppressed people that the entire Arab world mourned and pitied? Why would the Egyptians put them in prison and not hold a big banquet for them? What's that you say? They are murderers and common criminals? LOL

Anyway, apparently the Fatah prisoners feel it's safe enough to return so they staged a breakout - looks like over 20 or so actually made it all the way out. I'm not quite sure why Egypt wanted to recapture them.

Here's the full story from Reuters.

Fatah loyalists break out of Egyptian police camps

ISMAILIA, Egypt (Reuters) - Dozens of Palestinian security men affiliated to Fatah staged a mass break-out on Tuesday from the camp where they have been held in the Egyptian town of Rafah, security sources said.
Around 130 men from various Fatah security groups have been held in Egyptian police custody since they crossed the border from the Gaza Strip in June, fleeing in the aftermath of rival Hamas' seizure of the territory.
The men have been held in police camps in the towns of Arish and Rafah.
Around 60 of the Fatah loyalists managed to escape from the camps at dawn on Tuesday, but Egyptian police were able to recapture 40 of them, transferring them to police stations in the coastal town of Arish, according to security sources.
