Hamas Fires First "Shore-to-Ship" Iranian Missile From Gaza Into The Mediterranean

Once again, we see 90% of the world's problems and unrest trickling back to one source....Iran. The Iranians have been in Gaza training Hamas on firing a new missile - one called the Nur C-802 that is designed to be fired from the shores of Gaza out into the Mediterranean Sea at Israeli ships so to destroy the current blockade of Gaza. Remember, at this very moment there is an Iranian ship docked at a Cyprus port that was destined for Gaza and it has been confirmed to contain rockets and/or missiles - perhaps the C-802's are part of that load as this is why the Iranians are doing their training now ....preparing Hamas for a large shipment of them. Here's some of the details from DEBKA:

DEBKAfile's military sources reveal a formidable addition to Hamas' arsenal: The missile fired from Gaza out to the Mediterranean last week was not a Qassam as reported but a C-802, the Iranian shore-to-ship Nur C-802 missile, which is based on the Chinese "Silkworm."
It was launched by Iranian officers who are training Hamas operatives in its use before delivering a large consignment. With its 120-km range and 165-kilo warhead, the C-802's mission is to break Israel's 40 km blockade of Gaza's waters. This is now the key objective of Tehran and the Palestinian Islamists.

The new version has the attributes of a cruise missile: It has small radar reflectivity, is armed with a strong anti-jamming capability and can skim as low as 5-7 meters from the water's surface under the targeted ship's radar. Tehran claims its updated Nur anti-ship missile has
98 percent targeting effectiveness.

So, as has been the case for the past five years, Iran continues it's big business of terror exporting to Hamas and Hezbollah and at the same time, the Iranians continue their build up of nuclear weapons capabilities. They have vowed to destroy Israel. What in the sam hell is the world waiting for? WHY is there nothing but a charred landscape in Iran at this moment? Name one country, other than Syria, that would object to the decimation of Iran? It certainly wouldn't be Saudi Arabia, Jordan or Egypt!

I have to believe the Israelis have some major plans up their sleeves...they simply cannot afford to wait any longer as they have seen Hamas armed now with much longer rockets and now these new missiles...they have Hezbollah armed to the teeth like never before and finally, they are facing the biggest threat in Iranian nuclear weapons that could easily reach Tel Aviv. My advice is to simply forget that America has a new President and do what you need to do, Israel. And do it quickly.

The Israeli Navy's first brush with the C-802 was in the 2006 Lebanon war. On July 14, it was used by Hizballah to cripple the Hanit missile ship opposite Beirut.
The Israeli military says last week's launch was a serious provocation and a violation of Hamas' own declared ceasefire of Jan. 19. The amount of these missiles smuggled into Gaza and their date of delivery, whether before Israel's 22-day military operation or into the ceasefire, is unknown.
Our sources affirm that arms smuggling to Gaza continues by land and sea at the pre-war tempo notwithstanding the brave talk in Jerusalem, Washington and Cairo of a concerted effort to stem the flow.
An field officer dealing with the traffic says Israeli officials' threats to hit back at each smuggling incident as though it was a missile launch have not lessened the flow of weapons heading into Gaza through Egyptian Sinai and the Philadelphi border Corridor.
Since 2006, military experts note, Iran has upgraded the C-802 in an important respect. Then, Hizballah depended on the Lebanese army's sophisticated radar for accurate targeting of the Israeli warship. For Hizballah and Hamas, Iran's manufactures have come up with a version that operates without radar - 1,000 missiles have already been delivered to Hizballah.

FBI Cuts Off CAIR Over Hamas Questions

IPT News
January 29, 2009

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has cut off contacts with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) amid mounting concern about the Muslim advocacy group's roots in a Hamas-support network, the Investigative Project on Terrorism has learned.

The decision to end contacts with CAIR was made quietly last summer as federal prosecutors prepared for a second trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), an Islamic charity accused of providing money and political support to the terrorist group Hamas, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

CAIR and its chairman emeritus, Omar Ahmad, were named un-indicted co-conspirators in the HLF case. Both Ahmad and CAIR's current national executive director, Nihad Awad, were revealed on government wiretaps as having been active participants in early Hamas-related organizational meetings in the United States. During testimony, FBI agent Lara Burns described CAIR as a front organization.

Hamas is a US-designated foreign terrorist organization, and it's been illegal since 1995 to provide support to it within the United States.

The decision to end contacts with CAIR is a significant policy change for the FBI. For years, the FBI worked with the national organization and its state chapters to address Muslim community concerns about the potential for hate crimes and other civil liberty violations in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

But critics said the FBI improperly conferred legitimacy on CAIR by meeting with its officials, even as its own investigative files contained evidence of CAIR leaders' ties to Hamas.

Last autumn, FBI field offices began notifying state CAIR chapters that bureau officials could no longer meet with them until CAIR's national leadership in Washington had addressed issues raised by the HLF trial, according to people with knowledge of the notifications.

CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper declined to comment Wednesday when the IPT called for comment. Before hanging up, Hooper said "We're more than happy to cooperate with legitimate media. But we don't cooperate with those who promote anti-Muslim bigotry."

In one letter obtained by IPT News, James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Oklahoma City field office, canceled a meeting of the local Muslim Community Outreach Program, a state-federal program designed to enlist Muslims in terrorism prevention and investigate reports of civil liberties violations.

"Regrettably, due to circumstances beyond my control, the meeting will be postponed until further notice as a result of the planned participation by the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations," Finch's Oct. 8, 2008 letter to Muslim groups in the Oklahoma outreach program said.

Finch made clear the Oklahoma office valued its relationship with local Muslims. He said the stumbling block to further outreach was CAIR's national leadership.

"[I]f CAIR wishes to pursue an outreach relationship with the FBI, certain issues must be addressed to the satisfaction of the FBI. Unfortunately, these issues cannot be addressed at the local level and must be addressed by the CAIR National Office in Washington, D.C.," the letter said.

A spokesman for the FBI's Oklahoma City office referred questions about the letter to the FBI's national press office. In Washington, FBI spokesman John Miller said, "We've certainly been in contact with CAIR chapters" about the un-indicted co-conspirator designation. "The letter speaks for itself."

Letters with similar wording were sent in other states, people with knowledge of the matter said. It is not known how many letters were issued, but the FBI has had strong working relationships with CAIR chapters in states including Ohio, Michigan, Arizona and Florida.

Hamas was formed in 1987 as the Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, the global Islamic political movement that aims to spread the rule of Shariah, or Islamic law, throughout the world.

A North American branch of the Brotherhood supervised HLF, CAIR and other organizations to build political, financial and public relations support for Hamas, evidence at the HLF trial showed.

The U.S.-based Brotherhood formed a Palestine Committee, headed by Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzook, in 1988 during the first intifada uprising in Palestinian territories against Israel. Hamas's stated policy is for the destruction of Israel.

CAIR co-founders Ahmad and Awad were early active members of the Palestine Committee, evidence showed. Wiretaps recorded the two CAIR leaders participating in strategy meetings of the committee in the 1990s, and both were also on a phone list of its members, the evidence showed.

The first HLF trial in Texas ended in a mistrial in October 2007. In November 2008, the second trial resulted in convictions of five former HLF officials on all counts of providing material support to Hamas.

It is unclear what changed between the first and second HLF trials to make the FBI rescind its policy of outreach to CAIR. The un-indicted co-conspirator designations were made on May 27, 2007 in connection with the first HLF trial. Moreover, much of the evidence linking the CAIR officials to Hamas was aired in an earlier public trial in 2006.

CAIR, however, vigorously challenged the un-indicted co-conspirator designation as a violation of its First and Fifth Amendment rights, accusing the government of "demonization of all things Muslim" in a brief filed in the summer of 2007 with the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The co-conspirator designation is "particularly insidious and ironic as CAIR is an organization dedicated to fostering acceptance of Muslims in American society and protecting the civil liberties of all Muslim Americans," CAIR's brief read.

The government filed a brief on Sept. 4, 2007 opposing CAIR's filing, arguing the group lacked standing to challenge the co-conspirator designation and that the matter was moot, as the evidence was already entered into the public record. The judge never ruled on CAIR's request.

The HLF trial showed that CAIR was formed to covertly influence US opinions of the Palestinian conflict and Islam, but without revealing its connections to Hamas.

How Can General Petraeus Bring "The Awakenings" To Afghanistan?

This really is a good article over at Counterterrorism Blog that spells out directly from one of the top Iraqi leaders of The Awakening movement in Iraq just how American General David Petraeus can export the Awakening movement to Pakistan. I'd suggest you read the entire article over there but here's some of it, excerpted:

In considering how the U.S. will try to foster such a movement in Afghanistan, there is no better place to start than a 47-page memorandum written by Sheikh Ahmad Abu Risha, the leader of Iraq's Awakening, that was submitted to the American embassy in Kabul last spring. In an article published in the new issue of the Weekly Standard, my colleague Joshua Goodman and I analyze Abu Risha's memo, and the prospect of an Afghan Awakening. An excerpt:

Abu Risha reviews several challenges in Afghanistan. The country is beset by warlords and their followers, who "are accustomed to living freely without the rule of law." There is great distrust of Hamid Karzai's government, which some Afghans believe is conspiring with the United States in "Americanizing and changing the identity of the Afghan people."

Abu Risha outlines some preconditions for success. First and foremost is the need for a strong leader. In Anbar, this was the late Abdul Sattar al-Rishawi, Abu Risha's brother, assassinated in late 2007. Such a figure must have "charisma, outstanding leadership elements and courage," he should be "a man of honor, tolerant and persistent," and he should be "a center of trust" with "a political family background." Abu Risha emphasizes, however, that NATO should not try to establish new leadership in Afghanistan, but should work within the tribes' existing hierarchies. "This is a nation," he writes, "that does not accept changes or give up control easily without a fight."
Hopefully, Petraeus and his command will heed some of this advice from the Iraqi leader of The Awakenings and make some inroads in Afghanistan. It's clear that it will be more of a challenge but at the same time, we can't forget that The Awakening movement started in Al Anbar province and then SPREAD across Iraq. What Petraeus needs is one leader, one committed and vibrant Afghan leader in ONE province to step up and start it there....and have it succeed. Then let the dominos start to fall.

How to Export an Awakening

Abu Risha reviews several challenges in Afghanistan. The country is beset by warlords and their followers, who "are accustomed to living freely without the rule of law." There is great distrust of Hamid Karzai's government, which some Afghans believe is conspiring with the United States in "Americanizing and changing the identity of the Afghan people." This distrust is magnified by the country's living conditions: The economy is poor, with wages low and unemployment high. Despite improvements, the government has been unable to provide adequate education and health care.
These internal factors are compounded, in Abu Risha's view, by a military picture unfavorable to the United States. He argues that "military attacks by air against Taliban locations will cause the loss of many civilian lives," and so are likely to generate hostility to U.S. and NATO forces.
Abu Risha argues, nevertheless, that there are parallels between Afghanistan today and Iraq's Anbar Province in 2006 and 2007. Most important, al Qaeda and affiliated groups in Afghanistan have created a "climate of terror" similar to what they created in Anbar, where "they murdered anyone who opposed or criticized their actions and behavior." As in Anbar, he believes, an Awakening could help Afghanistan reverse its present deadly course.
Sterling Jensen, who participated as an Army contract linguist in the U.S. government's engagement with the Iraqi tribes as the Anbar Awakening was taking shape in the fall of 2006, agrees that Abdul Sattar's leadership was critical. "The Americans didn't make the Awakening," Jensen says. "They didn't make Sheikh Ahmed or Sheikh Abdul Sattar. You can influence some [local leaders'] thinking, but it's going to be the Americans recognizing these kinds of leaders, and supporting them."

Obama Mum On War In Afghanistan ...Yep, This Is An "I Told You So"

Just a week ago, I blogged this article about how the NYT was setting the stage for President Barack Obama to back off his tough talk about the War in Afghanistan and for him to be silent for months and eventually start withdrawing troops from Afghanistan. Now, Breitbart has an article up about the same thing, how Obama has suddenly become totally silent on his plans for more troops being moved into Afghanistan and about the U.S. efforts in this war in general. Here's some of the excerpts:

President Barack Obama, who pledged during his campaign to shift U.S. troops and resources from Iraq to Afghanistan, has done little since taking office to suggest he will significantly widen the grinding war against a resurgent Taliban.
On the contrary, Obama appears likely to streamline the U.S. focus with an eye to the worsening economy and the cautionary example of the Iraq war that sapped political support for President George W. Bush.
"There's not simply a military solution to that problem," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said last week, adding that Obama believes "that only through long-term and sustainable development can we ever hope to turn around what's going on there."
Less than two weeks into the new administration, Obama has not said much in public about what his top military adviser says is the largest challenge facing the armed forces. The president did say Afghanistan and Pakistan are the central front in the struggle against terrorism, a clue to the likely shift toward a targeted counterterrorism strategy.

Did you catch that statement from "Liar Liar" Robert Gibbs? "There's not simply a military solution to that problem" is what the great fabricator Gibbs has said - talk about setting the table for some sort of feeble diplomacy effort and subsequent surrender by U.S. troops to the misfit Taliban. And believe me, if the U.S. pulls out, the NATO countries will follow suit so fast there will be a dust storm in Kabul from the exiting troops and vehicles.

This is serious shit, folks. What Obama holds in his hands here could very well be the fate of much of the world. If he surrenders in Afghanistan and NATO follows suit (hell, they are there only because of us, anyway), it will be heralded by the greatest victory in the history of islamic jihad - it will embolden every jihadist and terrorist group on the planet and it will certainly signal to the Iranians that the world is theirs to hold hostage with nuclear weapons.

I'm sick and tired of these Leftist asshats in Washington, D.C. getting up to a podium and stating that Afghanistan is a tough military action - no shit Sherlock! We fucking know that fools but the fact of the matter is that it CAN be won, just like Iraq was won in spite of your efforts to throw in the towel.

If Obama caves on Afghanistan, then we might as well just hunker down, and hope and pray the attacks on U.S. interests across the world take some time...because it will be open season on every embassy, every soldier and Marine and every ship of ours in the world.

Somehow, someway there has to be a rallying cry voiced to this new President that he needs to grow a pair and find his spine.

Obama seems unlikely to widen war in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama, who pledged during his campaign to shift U.S. troops and resources from Iraq to Afghanistan, has done little since taking office to suggest he will significantly widen the grinding war against a resurgent Taliban.
After Obama's first visit to the Pentagon as president, a senior defense official said the commander in chief surveyed top uniformed officers about the strain of fighting two wars and warned that the economic crisis will limit U.S. responses. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because Obama's meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff was private.
Obama said he wants to add troops to turn back the Taliban, but he has not gone beyond the approximately 30,000 additional forces already under consideration by the previous administration. Those troops will nearly double the U.S. presence in Afghanistan this year. But they amount to a finger in the dike while Obama recalibrates a chaotic mishmash of military and development objectives.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates last week warned of grandiose goals in Afghanistan, prescribing a single-minded strategy to prevent Afghanistan from being a terrorism launching pad.
"Afghanistan is the fourth or fifth poorest country in the world, and if we set ourselves the objective of creating some sort of Central Asian Valhalla over there, we will lose," Gates said, referring to a haven of purity in Norse mythology. "Nobody in the world has that kind of time, patience or money, to be honest."

Iran Has Its First Radar-Evading Fighter Jet

This is just further evidence how, while the United Nations and Europe and yes, the United States continue to plod along with some sanctions and a volley of some harsh words, the islamic madmen of Iran continue to develop more and more weapons destined to bring the entire world to war. The latest entry into Iran's newest military technology is a radar-evasive fighter jet that will eventually be rigged to fire air-to-air missiles. Here's some of the details from Global Security:

Prototype of first Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) radar evading fighter jet was test-flied here Friday, according to IRIAF Commander Brigadier General Pilot, Hassan Shahsafi.
According to Public Relations of the IRIAF, Brigadier General Shahsafi said after the successful test flight of the plane, “In line with Supreme Leader’s nomination of the current Iranian year as the Year for Innovations and Blossoming, we successfully passed the last stage of our first radar evading fighter jet, and are testing a new air-to-air missile to be mounted on it.”
He added, “After a few more tests the radar evading plane project would enter its mass production phase, which would be in early new Iranian year (beginning on March 20th, 2009).”
Shahsafi said that earlier last month the smaller scale model of the same radar evading plane was successfully test-flied, new on which was broadcasted then.
Focusing on the new Iranian made “thermal air-to-air missile”, which has also been tested, he said, “This is one of our thermal air-to-air missiles, fully designed and manufactured at IRIAF industries, whose test was completed at one of the military fields of the country.”

Let's face it....the Iranians have been busy covering all their bases in their plans to join the ranks of nuclear weapon laden countries - this latest prototype and entry is designed to help protect their future nuclear weapons from any type of attack on them.

We've talked about how it will soon be too late to take out the nuclear weapons of Iran successfully and what appears to be happening now is that it will be difficult at any time in the future to do just that. At the same time, it certainly seems impossible that any movement will be generated in Israel and certainly not now in an Obama-led America to take out Iranian nukes. So, we will have to live with the fact that the Iranians have nuclear weapons. Oh wait, I misspoke there...we will have to die with the fact....

IRIAF manufactures Iran’s first radar-evading fighter plane

Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – Prototype of first Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) radar evading fighter jet was test-flied here Friday, according to IRIAF Commander Brigadier General Pilot, Hassan Shahsafi.

He added, “The thermal missile would be fired by a fighter plane and pursue the fired missile of another plane.”
The final range of the new air-to-air thermal missile is 100 kilometers, according to Brigadier General Shahsafi, that can be further improved for higher altitude flights.
The IRIAF Commander was asked about the measures adopted to deal with the new era wars, particularly after the US invasion against Iraq, and the probability of countering such situations.
He replied, “The air force is a rapid reaction force whose superiority greatly is in the focus of attention in the world today.”
Shahsafi said, “Our air force, due to the strategic importance of the Middle East, and particularly the Persian Gulf region, and our national interests in this region, as well as the West’s need to the existing energy resources here, has adopted an independent doctrine, in which self sufficiency and reliance on own capabilities are our top priorities, based on which we have to the best of our capabilities equipped both our attack and our defense sites with equivalents of world’s most advanced systems.”
Focusing on the present and future perspectives of the IRIAF, he said, “Today, we are capable of 120 sorties of flights at a short period, conducting unprecedented tests, carrying out innovative new missions with various planes, and flying long distances as far as 2,000 kilometers, which is proof for high combat readiness of the IRIAF, which is a necessity keeping in mind the very sensitive conditions we are at.”
He said that the entire productions and trainings of the air force are done inside the country today, based on high level scientific research work, whose result has been quite satisfactory, adding, “We have the Martyr Sattari Air Force University today, where the works of our young scientists and air force students are merged with the achievements of the other similar universities throughout Iran, and scientific model taking is practiced there quite successfully.”

Video: Why is Barack Obama REALLY Upset At Wall Street Bankers?

I'm sure most of you have seen this clip of President Barack Obama scolding Wall Street bankers for partaking in year end bonuses of $18 billion. What I don't think the average American sees though is just WHY Obama is so upset by this. Sure, you can listen to this and hear what he claims are his reasons for his outrage but let me clue you in to the real truth.

You see, as some of us believe strongly, Barack Hussein Obama is a socialist, a marxist. Barack Obama has closely followed the roadmap to a socialistic America offered up years ago by Saul Alinsky. Thus, what Barack Obama is showing in this clip is a out and out HATRED of capitalists. Nothing represents the greed and class separation of the "capitalists" more than a Wall Street banking CEO. These are the epitome of the enemy to Barack Obama, these are the targets of his plan to socialize America. Look at the facts - these bonuses totalled $18 billion, but Obama's stimulus package totalled $860 billion...why is the huge amount spent by Obama okay with him?

Simple: Obama's stimulus package creates and saves CENTRALIZED GOVERNMENT JOBS! These pigs, these "capitalist bankers" are just that...capitalists. They are the very enemy of centralized socialism in America.

So, for all of you out there who plan on retiring on your investments in the stock market, or 401k's or mutual funds or commodities...I warn you - Barack Obama is out to destroy those markets, those companies represented in those investment avenues. The reason Barack Obama so vigorously defends labor unions vs. the auto makers or steel companies isn't just because those unions represent votes for him...oh no, it's also because those workers represent the ones that Obama is going to see to it that TAKE OVER the companies at some point in time.

Watch the video. Watch the anger. Watch the hate. And then tell me I'm wrong.

p.s. listen to how Obama describes these banks, investment companies, marketing firms...notice the word he uses straight out of the Communist Manifesto - "institutions"

German Jihadists Fighting In Afghanistan Send Video To Germans Telling Them To Come Join The Fight ...Oh, And Bring The Family!

All I can do is just shake my head over this one. Unbeknownest to me, there are a group of jihadists fighting in Afghanistan who traveled there from Germany. Well, these misfits decided to make a recruiting video to send back to their scum brothers back in the fatherland. Here's some of the excerpts from that video found here at Counterterrorism Blog:

During the video, a group of German nationals fighting with the IMU in Afghanistan offered messages and commentary to those living back home in Europe. According to "Abu Adam the German", "more than 20 organizations are fighting here side-by-side with the same goal. All of their members and commanders have given their oaths of allegiance to a man who found its way into the hearts of each mujahid. We speak of the mujahid Amir al-Mumineen Mullah Mohammad Omar. As far as the jihad in Afghanistan is concerned, there are currently about 30 mujahideen operations per day. About 75% of the country is already under our control.

Another German national, "Abu Abdullah"-shown sitting amongst a group of young children brandishing automatic weapons-explained, "as you can clearly see, praise be to Allah, this has become a very family-friendly place. So, bring your wives and children. Praise be to Allah, there are living quarters here far away from the front. There are hospitals, pharmacies, doctors, and schools-schools in which our children not only learn about Islam, but also all walks of life and obedience. That is why we advise you all to join together, revive, and live the cause of jihad with your entire family."
So there you have it, German muslims...drop everything, load up the family in your Volkswagen, and head to Afghanistan for a family vacation of stoning women to death, cutting the heads off of Afghan citizens and the all so popular bombing of a girls' school!

It's my guess that this video will certainly have a draw to those muslim families where the parents are having some challenges with their children...you know, those pesky teen age girls who just don't seem excited covering 99% of their bodies in the summer heat and those teen age boys who seem more interested in video games than chanting "Death to America."

NEFA Foundation: Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) Issues Messages from German Militants Fighting in Afghanistan

The NEFA Foundation has obtained and translated a newly-released German-language propaganda video from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) produced in September 2008. My dear brothers and sisters, I do not say to you merely to come to the the land of jihad. Rather, I say to you, you should be racing one another to come to the land of jihad." Another German national, "Abu Abdullah"-shown sitting amongst a group of young children brandishing automatic weapons-explained, "as you can clearly see, praise be to Allah, this has become a very family-friendly place. So, bring your wives and children. Praise be to Allah, there are living quarters here far away from the front. There are hospitals, pharmacies, doctors, and schools-schools in which our children not only learn about Islam, but also all walks of life and obedience. That is why we advise you all to join together, revive, and live the cause of jihad with your entire family." These sentiments were also echoed in the video by IMU commander Muhammad Tahir Farooq himself, who openly welcomed European recruits, "we invite our brothers and sisters. We invite you to our frontline of jihad. We invite you to martyrdom."

Spanish High Court To Try 7 Israelis For Genocide In 2002 Gaza Bombing

It's been awhile since I've seen this kind of bullshit. A palestinian boohoo whining sniveling group has brought a case of genocide to a Spanish High Court because the Spaniards are STUPID enough to have some fawking law that says they can try foreigners for these kinds of cases. So, the Israeli Defense Minister and six other Israeli military officers are all being brought up on these charges in Spain and just wait til you hear the circumstances of the complaint. The article is here at Breitbart and here's an expert of why this charge was brought:

The Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights is bringing the case against then-Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer and six military men, most of whom are now retired from active duty, involved in the decision to drop a one-ton bomb from an F-16 plane onto a housing block on July 22, 2002.
The blast killed Hamas commander Salah Shehada, but the organization said it was bringing the case on behalf of only the families of 14 civilians killed, nine of whom were children, and 96 injured.

Now, look at what the putz from the Pali human rights group had to say:

"If Israel would like to be a civilized nation it will have to accept the rule of law, and the rule of law is not served with a 1,000-kg bomb," the Palestinian Centre's lawyer Gonzalo Boye said.

Well, well Mr. Boye...let's just look at what is "civilized." Okay? In 2002, Hamas thug Shehada, after being involved in the murder of Israeli citizens decides to hide out from the IDF in a civilian's house in Gaza - he used all of those Gazans as human shields. So, tell me Mr. Boye...WHO put the dead civilians in danger? The Israelis who dropped the bomb or Shehada? Would the bomb have been droppd if Shehada had not sought refuge there? Of course not. I don't see any Hamas being brought up on genocide charges in Spain over their suicide bombing killing of Israelis in the summer of 2002, Mr. Boye...why is that?

The fact that the Spaniards will even hear this case is beyond belief - at what point in time are western governments going to finally tell the palestinians to fuck the hell off and quit their hypocritical whining?

Spanish court investigates 2002 Israeli Gaza attack

MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's High Court will launch a war crimes investigation into seven Israelis, including a former defense minister, over a 2002 attack that killed 14 civilians and a Hamas commander in the Gaza Strip, court papers said.
Spanish law allows the prosecution of foreigners for such crimes as genocide, crimes against humanity and torture committed anywhere in the world. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak called the Gaza legal case "delusional" on Thursday.
"If Israel would like to be a civilized nation it will have to accept the rule of law, and the rule of law is not served with a 1,000-kg bomb," the Palestinian Centre's lawyer Gonzalo Boye said.
"I do not justify the actions of Hamas. I think both parties are guilty. The only people that are innocent are the civilian victims. We have excluded from our criminal case that person from Hamas who was the target of the Israeli army."
Spanish Judge Fernando Andreu's investigation, which is expected to last several years, was brought after Israel declined to reply to a question from the court last August as to whether the seven would be tried at home.
After hearing the news Ben-Eliezer said the decision was "outrageous," adding that "terror organizations are using the courts of free nations under the guise of democracy in order to fight those who fight against terrorism."
He added that Shehada was a "mass murderer responsible for the death of 100 Israelis ... he sent tens of suicide bombers out onto the streets."
In Tel Aviv, Barak said in a statement he "objected strongly" to the "delusional announcement" by Spain and would vehemently defend the charges.

Sderot Student, 23, Addresses UN Human
Rights Council in Geneva

Liraz Madmony, 23 of Sderot,
grew up under Palestinian rocket fire for eight years of her life. Although a
rocket has never directly hit her home, Liraz has experienced the terror of
rocket explosions countless times. "We don't have a bomb shelter in our house,"
she recently told SMC. "Every time, the Tzeva Adom is set off, our family races
to the shower, the only room that is most 'secure' from a rocket attack."

Liraz Madmony with Israeli
representative to the UN.

Liraz is a law student in a Ramat Gan college in central
Israel and is heavily involved with student organizations such as WUJS (World
Union of Jewish Students). "Many times I've missed my law classes and student
activities because of the rocket attacks. It's almost impossible to lead a
normal life when you are forced to live under with warning alerts and raining
rockets."

While Liraz admits that balancing life as a college student
and a resident in a war-zone can at times be very difficult, she recently found
the time to share her story with the world community.
Thanks to a trip
coordinated by UN Watch two weeks ago, Liraz Madmony addressed the UN Human
Rights Council Special Session on Gaza in Geneva, on behalf of the European
Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) on January 12, 2009.

"It was a very moving moment for me," says Liraz. "Here I was standing in
front of all these people--in Geneva, Switzerland--representing the people of
Sderot and all our years of suffering and terror."

Read the rest here.

Liraz is just a normal person, leading a normal life, wanting only the rockets to stop. In the last 8 years dozens of UN resolutions were passed condemning Israel. Not one has ever been passed condemning Hamas. And yet Israel is suppose to accept all the resolutions passed by the UN.

From 90210 to Sderot: Get the Story Right!

I just returned from a two week visit to Israel. I spent
my last weekend in Sderot and the Western Negev. One year out from volunteering
in Sderot, I have written this piece on the international media's lack of
context in covering the current conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Hundreds of journalists from all over the world just left Sderot and
the surrounding areas covering the current conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Where were they one year ago? Where were they four years ago, eight years ago? I
spent six weeks volunteering in Sderot exactly one year ago, and I can tell you,
the journalists were no where to be found.

Unfortunately for Israel,
it took eight years for the international community to understand that innocent
civilians in a western democracy live daily under the current threat of rocket
fire. During this time, the range of the threat expanded from a tens of
thousands to over one million innocent Jewish and Muslim Israeli citizens.

In these eight years, has the UN Security Council ever condemned
nearly a decade of rocket fire on innocent civilians of one of its member
states, Hamas’ use of human shields, and its use of schools, hospitals, and
mosques to store and launch rockets at Israel?

Are you laughing at
me for even thinking to ask such a question? Well you should be, because why
would anyone assume the international community to be, um, sensible?

Maybe they could be just a little rational? Nah, that’s just too silly!

Furthermore, has any news organization mentioned the fact Israel is the
only western democracy in the entire world that has a significant - let alone
any - part of its population living under the threat of daily rocket fire?

“Oh it’s just Israel, who cares right?” “They can take it?” Or rather,
“Maybe they deserve it, right?”

Well you know what I have to say that...

I’d also like to thank the international media for providing ZERO
context for the humanitarian issues of the Palestinian people.

Let me
describe to you a little bit of Israel’s commitment to helping the Palestinians
suffering from the wrath of their authoritarian, fanatical terrorist rulers,
Hamas.

From the beginning of Operation Cast Lead, December 27, 2008,
until January 12, 2009:

- 926 truckloads (22,046 tons) of humanitarian
aid were delivered to Gaza

- 449 dual nationals were evacuated from Gaza

- 3000 units of blood were donated by Jordan and transferred into Gaza

- 5 ambulances were donated by Turkey and transferred into Gaza

- 5 ambulances were transferred from the West Bank to Gaza on behalf of
the Palestinian Red Crescent Society

- 34 people were evacuated to
Israel for medical needs

On Jan. 7, 2009, the IDF decided it would
ceasefire for three hours each day in order to let humanitarian aid reach
civilians in the Gaza Strip.

I love when this gets mentioned, and they
say three hours is simply not enough. So, Israel should stop defending its
civilians all together, fully commit itself to giving aid to the other side, and
allow terrorists to fire rockets at it and threaten one million of its
population?

Do you find it a tad bit odd that Israel is forced not only
to defend its own citizens, but those of its enemies as well? Well I don’t...I
mean, isn’t every western democracy supposed to do that during wars? Duh!

I got a question for you Mr. and Mrs. International Media.

Israel is the bad guy? Are you kidding me!

What does Hamas do
for Israeli civilians? Oh yeah, they’ve been terrorizing them with rockets for
the last eight years!

What other country, when immersed in a full scale
war, commits itself to providing humanitarian aid to their enemy? Oh yeah,
Russia!

Read the rest here.

I am suppose to accept that the world media isn’t biased against Israel. And then I am suppose to acknowledge the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny too. Right. If it was not so tragic, I would laugh.

An Illusion of Normalcy?

An uncertain calm rests upon Sderot at the moment. The sounds of war have disappeared, replaced by the sounds of a city slowly coming back to life. The click of the intercom followed by the voice that repeatedly stated Tzeva Adom, followed by the rocket explosion a few seconds later seems to be something of the past.

But daily news reports on Palestinian terror activity from Gaza are constant reminders to Israelis in Sderot and the western Negev that the calm remains seemingly temporarily.

Israel declared a unilateral ceasefire on Saturday night, January 17 at 2:00 am, which ended Operation Cast Lead, a 3-week offensive against Hamas. It was Israel's longest offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, following two brief military offenses in the Gaza Strip in 2004 and 2006 in response to Qassam attacks that killed two Israeli girls, and wounded several other civilians.

Sderot children play around protected shelters.

Two day after the ceasefire was declared; Palestinian terrorists fired 8 mortar rockets at Israel on Tuesday morning, January 20. Palestinian militants also opened fire on IDF soldiers in Gaza. On Tuesday evening, the last of the IDF troops had pulled out of Gaza before the inauguration of US President Barack Obama at 6 PM. Israel time.

On Tuesday, January 27, Palestinian terrorists carried out the first deadly attack on Israel since the ceasefire concluded. An Israeli soldier was killed on Tuesday morning when an explosive device set at the Kissufim crossing along the Gaza Strip border exploded as an IDF force patrolled the area. Another officer was seriously injured, with one leg amputated and another severely damage. Two other soldiers suffered from extensive shrapnel wounds, but were categorized as lightly hurt. They remain hospitalized.

Read the rest here.

And on Wednesday, rockets again flew into Israel from Gaza.

IAF jets struck a weapon manufacturing site in the Rafah area late on Wednesday
night, in response to a Kassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel
several hours earlier.

t was the IDF's first attack on a building inside
the Strip since the end of Operation Cast Lead.

The Kassam was fired at
southern Israel a day after Gaza operatives breached the cease-fire with a
deadly bomb attack along the border.

The rocket hit an open area in the
Eshkol region, causing no casualties or damage.

Hamas can violation a cease-fire and the world says nothing. Israel strikes back and there are riots in the streets. Can anyone see a double standard here? I do.

Like always, Israel will do what it has to do to survive. And like always I once again send out a plea for donations for the Sderot Media Center. The donation you give goes directly to the victims of the terror. To donate either click the logos on the top or bottom of the page or go here. The people of Sderot will be very grateful.

Al Qaeda in Iraq (what's left of it) Produces Video Calling For Muslims To Become Snipers

Okay, so we have the remaining elements of al Qaeda in Iraq, those who hide in any remaining hut they can find, producing a new video that calls on all muslims to stand up for the people of Gaza by taking up guns and sniping infidels across the world. First of all, this is a bit like Rosie O'Donnell calling on people to watch what they eat, but in the video, al Qaeda in Iraq does raise some odd ideas - let's look at some excerpts from the article here at Adnkronos:

A new video purportedly from Al-Qaeda in Iraq urges Muslims to become snipers in order to avenge the Palestinian deaths caused by Israel's three-week offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The aim of the video - produced by production house al-Furqan - is to invite Muslims from all over the world to do the same and kill the first unbeliever that crosses his path."You must know that with a bullet whose cost does not exceed one dollar, you can kill a person who gets paid much more by their country. "If you feel that your heart is being squeezed and you are sorry about what is happening to Muslims, become a sniper and learn how to become one. Then approach God's enemy and his closest prophet and put a bullet in his heart or head and you will see how much better you feel," said the message. An image of Pope Benedict XVI also appears in the video, shaking the hand of Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
Oh, and of course, no jihadi video wouldn't be complete without some loving words from that "holy" book, that volume of peace and love, the Qur'an:

"Fight them and Allah will punish them by your hands, lay them low, and cover them with shame. He will help you over them and cool the chests of the believers," said the video, quoting Sura number 9 verse 14.

You just gotta love a "religion" that tells you that the almighty one is going to help you punish unbelievers.

I'm not sure the muslim world is going to equate sniping as a fasttrack to success since al Qaeda in Iraq has about 500 jihadists left in all of Iraq and those don't even know when their next meal or bullet is coming. But hey, rise up you minions of Satan, grab a gun and put a hole in the head of the next infidel you see! Hey wait ! Won't this put a wrinkle in President Obama's plan to bring all of these guys into a kumbaya huddle? I mean, when we follow The One's advice of reaching out to our islamist brothers, won't a bullet through our foreheads put a damper on that reconciliation?

Iraq: 'Al-Qaeda video' recruits snipers to avenge Gaza

A new video purportedly from Al-Qaeda in Iraq urges Muslims to become snipers in order to avenge the Palestinian deaths caused by Israel's three-week offensive in the Gaza Strip. The 30 minute documentary, entitled "From the Islamic State: Dedicated to Gaza, the courageous," underlines the military and religious aspect of a sniper in Islam. It begins by showing images of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza, while images of Arab heads of state are seen cheering after a raid. The aim of the video - produced by production house al-Furqan - is to invite Muslims from all over the world to do the same and kill the first unbeliever that crosses his path.

"Just like using suicide bombers represented an important evolution and a decisive weapon for the jihadist fight, the use of snipers is important as the bases for its establishment are rooted in the history of Islam when during important battles, the Prophet (Mohammed)'s fellow warriors used this tactic against their enemies.""This because the surprise effect wins in a sniper, because death comes from where the enemy did not expect it."According to the Al-Qaeda militants, the first person in the history of Islam to use sniping was the Prophet Mohammed, who allegedly invited his warriors to use this technique in battle. The video also shows how al-Qaeda has killed dozens of US soldiers by using snipers in the past few years. To become a sniper, - the video says - the person must be in excellent physical and mental state."He must convince himself he is a sniper and must use cunning ways, and always remain patient." The video concludes with images of a Palestinian man asking Muslims for help after an Israeli bombardment.Established in 2006, the Islamic State of Iraq is an umbrella organisation containing several radical insurgency groups including its predecessor, the Mujahideen Shura Council and Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Israel Foils Hezbollah Attack On An Israeli In Europe

Well, it's been almost a year since the assassination of Hezbollah's kingpin terrorist, Imad Mughniyeh, and apparently Nasrallah's goons don't want to let that killing go...so they had elaborately planned to take out an Israeli in Europe as revenge, but the Israelis along with European intelligence agencies foiled the plot before it was carried out. This is just a testament of how the killing of Mughniyeh stung the boys at Hezbollah. Haha! Here's some of the sketchy details from the report at The Jerusalem Post:

Israeli intelligence agencies recently succeeded in thwarting a major Hizbullah terror attack against an Israeli target in Europe, Channel 2 reported Wednesday, citing security officials.

The attack was reportedly thwarted by Israel in conjunction with a European intelligence agency.
Hizbullah planned the attack to avenge the February 2008 assassination of arch-terrorist Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus, the report said.
The other thing this all points to is the reach of Hezbollah - I believe there was also a Hezbollah coordinated plan a number of months ago to hit an Israeli businessman in Africa and now, we see this target was in Europe. I wonder, how do the Europeans feel about Hezbollah death squads running around their countries?

Israel foils Hizbullah attack in Europe

Mughniyeh was the commander of Hizbullah military forces and was assassinated in a car bombing in Damascus. While Israel did not claim responsibility for the assassination, Hizbullah has declared its intention to avenge Mughniyeh's death by striking at Israel.
The assessment in the Israeli intelligence community is that Hizbullah is planning the attack in a way that will not leave behind its direct fingerprints. Hizbullah is believed to have extensive terror infrastructures in Africa and South America and was allegedly behind the bombings in 1992 and 1994 in Buenos Aires.
The intelligence community believes Hizbullah is deterred from launching an attack along the northern border because it is scared of Israel's potential response.
The two recent Katyusha rocket attacks into northern Israel are believed to have been carried out by a Palestinian terror group.

Article: ' We Are All Geert Wilders Now '

I'm not totally enamored by this article at Family Security Matters use of comparison of what Geert Wilders is going through right now with that of Martin Luther King, Jr. but I think the text that describes what we in the West need to do now in support of Wilders is terrific. I encourage you to read the full article. As you know, Wilders is facing a Dutch court for inciting hate against islamists via his film, "Fitna." Here are some excerpts from the article, look at the power in the first paragraph:

In the case of Geert Wilders, a court was repulsed by his comments comparing Islamic supremacism's beliefs to those expressed in Hitler's Mein Kampf. That court was not repulsed by the daily calls for killing Jews by Islamic supremacists. That court was not repulsed by the anti-Semitic hate that is regularly channeled in the Islamic supremacist media. That court was not repulsed by the regular calls for the destruction of Israel by Islamic supremacists. That court was not repulsed by the references to the anti-Semitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion promoted in Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf within the very charter of the Islamic supremacist Hamas organization, a group defended by protestors in the Netherlands over the past few weeks. That court was not repulsed by other Netherlands politicians defending calls for an intifada against Israel, while Amsterdam crowds called for "Jews to the gas."

But our destiny is different and our future is based on who we are, not what we fear. Our destiny is not to live a lie of supremacism, but to embrace the truth of humanity's inalienable right of equality. Our destiny is not to depend on the whims of the merciless, but to extend our courage of equality and liberty to the hopeless and the helpless. Our destiny is not to find solace by cowering in a dark corner, but to shine a torch of truth even in the darkest night. Our destiny is not to ignore Islamic supremacism's war on equality and liberty, but to stand ready to defend these human rights.

I think that last sentence says it all: " Our destiny is not to ignore Islamic supremacism's war on equality and liberty, but to stand ready to defend these human rights."

What the islamists, who seek the World Caliphate, don't understand about America is this: we as Americans regard our freedom and liberties with higher regard than the islamists regard Allah or Mo. Sure, Americans have a tendency to bend...to accomodate...it's part of our nature as a nation built of immigrants but unlike Europe, we have a breaking point. There is a line in the dirt in American soil that NO ONE will be allowed to cross - that goes for radical islamists, that goes for Barack Obama, that goes for Leftists inside of America. When someone crosses that line in regards to our freedom and liberty, you will see a fight from Americans that will rival the valor of any Marines unit. And don't forget, the regular Joes and Janes of America who will defend that line in the dirt....they are armed. Very well armed.

The world has to watch this Wilders trial closely because in essence, it is a trial of truth versus lies. Geert Wilders spoke the truth in his film...that cannot be disputed and if he is convicted, it should send a signal to all Western freedom fighters that there is nothing you can do that can stop a similar legal attack anywhere. A guilty verdict for Wilders is simply a call to arms in western society.

And as the author of the article says:

We are all Geert Wilders now. We Fear No Evil.

Defying Islamic Supremacism – We Are All Geert Wilders Now
Jeffrey Imm

We know these tactics, and we know the frightened people behind them. We know those who would sell out their values and principles to totalitarian ideologues for the hope that they can declare "peace in our time." We know how much they dread acknowledging the reality that appeasement of supremacist ideologies will never quench the endless thirst for equality and liberty in humankind. We know how supremacists desperately cling to the lie of their superiority, for without it, they must acknowledge the harsh reality that their society is built on a hopeless delusion. We know how much the frightened people just desperately want to be left alone, and not be forced to have to face the difficult decisions that a world of mutuality must make to recognize the inalienable human rights of equality and liberty. Most of all, we understand the frightened people, because even though we oppose their tactics, we know that they are fellow human beings, and because if our fate had been different they could have been us.But our destiny is different and our future is based on who we are, not what we fear. We have not sought out conflict, but we have been challenged to prove the courage of our convictions. In the struggle of promoting equality and liberty against Islamic supremacism, we have been handed the responsibility to prove our dedication to humanity's inalienable rights. The decision over whether we will defend the principles of freedom or submit to the lie of Islamic supremacism is more than a war of ideas – it is a measure of our generation's willpower and resolve. It is more than a debate by learned individuals referencing documents, organizations, actions, people, and history. It is more than an argument of who, what, where, and when. It is more than debating those who live in denial over the threat of Islamic supremacism, more than debating those who believe equality and liberty are merely relative values, and more than debating those who believe that humanity has no purpose or value at all. Most of all, the fight for equality and liberty is a struggle to protect humanity's very identity in freedom, and a commitment to preserve and protect our inalienable human rights for the helpless, the hopeless, those without a voice, and for the next generation. It is a test to see if the flame of courage in our hearts will burn bright against the darkness of a supremacist ideology that seeks to envelop our civilization.

Video: Footage Of IED Attack On IDF At Gaza Border That Killed IDF Soldier

Towards the end of this video, you will see two IDF soldiers run to the jeep to help their fellow soldiers. You will see small arms fire peppering the area BUT WATCH how these two IDF soldiers do NOT hesitate at all but sprint to the vehicle.

IAF Hits Gaza Smuggling Tunnels, Israel Awaits American Envoy/Pali Sympathizer

The Israeli Cabinet is meeting to decide on just how far they are willing to take attacks against Hamas in Gaza in retaliation for the IED bombing of an IDF jeep that killed one IDF soldier on the Israeli side of the Gaza border. I shouldn't have to tell any of you that I would suggest the Israelis continue until they have killed at least three Hamas leaders and/or commanders as retribution. At the same time, President Obama's middle east envoy, former Senator George Mitchell, a known Pali sympathizer is on his way to Israel. Here's some of the details from Breitbart:

The Israeli Cabinet met to consider how far to go in its response to Tuesday's bombing. U.S. envoy George Mitchell said it was "critical" that the cease-fire be extended, as he met Egypt's president before heading to Jerusalem.
There was no claim of responsibility for Tuesday's bombing, but Ramattan, a Palestinian news agency, released a video of the roadside bombing allegedly filmed by militants it did not identify.
The images showed a large explosion next to a jeep moving on the Israeli side of the border fence. A huge plume of smoke emerges as the jeep stops. Two Israeli soldiers are then seen running toward the jeep, and gunfire is directed at them before a secondary blast hits them, too.
"Hamas unfortunately controls the Gaza strip and is directly responsible for all hostile fire from Gaza into Israel," government spokesman Mark Regev told The Associated Press.

"Israel wants the quiet in the south to continue but yesterday's attack is a deliberate provocation designed to undermine and torpedo the calm. If Hamas acts to undermine the cease-fire, it will have no one but itself to blame for the consequences," he said.

I like what Regev is saying here - when Hamas leadership knows that they will be targeted EVERY time some renegade cell decides to attack, no matter who it is, then I believe we will see these attacks reduced.

The real problem for Israel is that Hamas isn't going to really expound upon these IED attacks now that they have seen it actually kill an IDF soldier. Plus, the components of an IED are easily smuggled into Gaza.

Israeli warplanes hit Gaza tunnels

President Barack Obama's new Mideast envoy sought Wednesday to boost a 10-day-old Gaza cease-fire that was thrown into turmoil, as Israeli warplanes pounded Gaza smuggling tunnels in retaliation for a Palestinian bombing that killed a soldier.
The Israeli Cabinet met to consider how far to go in its response to Tuesday's bombing. U.S. envoy George Mitchell said it was "critical" that the cease-fire be extended, as he met Egypt's president before heading to Jerusalem.
The violence is the worst since Israel and Hamas separately declared cease-fires on Jan. 18 to end a three-week Israeli offensive against the Palestinian militant group in the Gaza Strip. Since withdrawing its troops, Israel has threatened to retaliate hard for any violations of the informal truce.
The soldier was killed Tuesday on Israel's frontier with the Gaza Strip by a roadside bomb planted on the Gaza side and set off by remote control, the military said. Three other soldiers patrolling the border were injured.
Israel responded swiftly, sending tanks and bulldozers into northern Gaza to plow up the attack site and launching an airstrike that wounded a Hamas militant "who was prominent in the organization accountable for the attack," the military said. Hamas said the Israeli strike injured one of its men as he rode a motorcycle in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.
Airstrikes early Wednesday targeted the network of tunnels used to smuggle arms, money and people into Gaza from Egypt. Israel bombed the tunnels heavily during the war, but smugglers resumed work after the cease-fire.
There was no claim of responsibility for Tuesday's bombing, but Ramattan, a Palestinian news agency, released a video of the roadside bombing allegedly filmed by militants it did not identify.

Egyptians Refuse Entry of Iranian Arms-Laden Ship Headed To Gaza

So, here we have an Iranian ship loaded to the gills with long range grad rockets and explosives heading towards Gaza and the Egyptians finally got their heads out of their asses and stopped the ship in the Red Sea from passing through the Suez Canal to get to the Mediterranean Sea where that ship could make it to Gaza.
Some fascinating looks at just how Hamas gets their weaponry delivered to them from Iran, here at this article at The Jerusalem Post:

Israel is closely tracking an Iranian freighter believed to be carrying weaponry for Hamas that is currently docked in the Red Sea outside the Suez Canal, after Egypt refused to permit it to cross the waterway to the Mediterranean.

"There are two main smuggling routes," one official explained. "Some of the weaponry comes by ground from Somalia, Sudan and then into Egypt and through a tunnel into Gaza, while some comes by boat."
The boats sometimes unload the shipments in the Sinai's Port Said, where it is smuggled into Gaza by land. Other times, the shipments are dropped overboard in waterproof containers and are picked up by Palestinian fishermen or divers.
At this point in time, I would say it is pretty likely that Israel has eyes all over this ship so even if the Iranians try to dump this cargo or drop it in another location, Israel is gonna see it...at the same time, one has to wonder if there isn't more going on with this ship serving as a decoy.

We have seen the results of the newer long range Grad rockets being used by Hamas in Gaza....how they have hit places in Israel never before reached and so you KNOW that the Iranians are hellbent on getting more of these to Hamas. I don't know...I guesss if I am running the Israeli navy, I'd be damn tempted to just blow this ship outta the water where it is sitting right now. I'd deal with the complaints later.

Cairo intercepts Iranian arms ship

According to a report received at the Defense Ministry from the Pentagon, the US Navy recently boarded an Iranian vessel that was carrying artillery shells and other weaponry.
"This is a big test for the Egyptians," a senior defense official said. "So far the Egyptians have prevented the ship from crossing the Suez and we hope it will stay that way."
Defense officials said that Iran is trying to supply Hamas with new Grad-model Katyusha rockets and to replace high-grade explosives that were exhausted or destroyed by the IDF during Operation Cast Lead.

As reported in The Jerusalem Post last week, the IDF is concerned that Iran will supply Hamas with long-range Fajr missiles that are capable of reaching Tel Aviv.
According to the London Times, Combined Task Force 151 of the US Navy, which is fighting pirates in the Gulf of Aden, has been instructed to track Iranian arms shipments to Gaza.
Last week, the report claimed, troops from the USS San Antonio boarded a former Russian cargo vessel that was flying a Cypriot flag and was reportedly carrying weaponry destined for Hamas.
In addition to the US, the French have also dispatched a frigate to the Mediterranean to participate in the clampdown on the Gaza Strip and to prevent weapons shipments from reaching Hamas.
The frigate is carrying a helicopter that can support reconnaissance missions off the Gaza coast.

Obama Grants First Formal Interview To Arab Media, Apologizes To Islamists For American Behavior

Wow. If this doesn't send a signal of weakness to the islamic terrorists and thug islamic regimes across the world, nothing will. President Barack Hussein Obama has granted his first formal interview as POTUS to an Arab news outlet, Al-Arabiya and proceeded to not only apologize to the islamic world for America's past actions but also minimized the islamic threat to the world. Some of us thought Obama would be a bit more subtle in his efforts to surrender on the war on terror, some of us figured he'd wait about a year before his strategy to dhimmify America...looks like we were surprised again. Here's some of the details from Breitbart:

President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that "Americans are not your enemy."
The interview underscored Obama's commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.

"My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy," Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel.

"What I told him is start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating," Obama told the interviewer.
My response? Well, here goes:

1. First of all, Mr. President, your JOB is to protect the American people, NOT run around to islamic leaders and assure them they are not at risk from our country.

2. The reason the U.S. dictates foreign policy is because we are a LEADER, not a spineless follower like you apparently have your heart set on becoming.

3. There isn't any mention of this in the article but I have seen the video of the interview that I posted here at Holger Awakens and in that interview, Obama refers to the Iranian push to attain nuclear weapons as "not helpful." Got that? - "not helpful" - boy, that outta send real shivers down the back of the Persians, huh? I'm sure they are on the brink of dismantling their weapons of mass destruction today what with that kind of powerful message from the new American President!

Let's face it, we have a President now who has not learned a single thing from history's lesson regarding radical islam. We have a President who is willing to forget 9/11 and thinks that since he has the speech-making prowess to woo 3 million ACORN volunteers, that he can make 3 billion islamists suddenly decide that they don't really want to kill us infidels.

I have no doubt in my mind that only an attack on America will set Obama's mind right on the islamic forces in this world, but the problem with that is this: how bad will our next attack be and also, will one attack be enough to knock some sense into this appeaser?

Obama chooses Arab network for first TV interview

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that "Americans are not your enemy."
The interview underscored Obama's commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.
The president expressed an intention to engage the Middle East immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
"My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy," Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel.
Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but "that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that."
During his presidency, former President George W. Bush gave several interviews to Al-Arabiya but the wars he launched in Iraq and Afghanistan prompted a massive backlash against the U.S. in the Muslim world.
Obama called for a new partnership with the Muslim world "based on mutual respect and mutual interest." He talked about growing up in Indonesia, the Muslim world's most populous nation, and noted that he has Muslim relatives.
The new president said he felt it was important to "get engaged right away" in the Middle East and had directed Mitchell to talk to "all the major parties involved." His administration would craft an approach after that, he said in the interview.
"What I told him is start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating," Obama told the interviewer.
The president reiterated the U.S. commitment to Israel as an ally and to its right to defend itself. But he suggested that both Israel and the Palestinians have hard choices to make.
"I do believe that the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in prosperity and security for their people," he said, calling for a Palestinian state that is contiguous with internal freedom of movement and can trade with neighboring countries.
Obama also said that recent statements and messages issued by the al-Qaida terror network suggest they do not know how to deal with his new approach.
"They seem nervous," he told the interviewer. "What that tells me is that their ideas are bankrupt."
