The Myth Behind Multiculturalism

All over Europe we have seen the leaders of Germany and France and Britain as well as others finally standing up to admit and profess that "multiculturalism" has been a complete failure on the continent and that it is time to try and reverse it.

This article at Family Security Matters delves into the myth of multiculturalism and just how it was destined to fail from the beginning. At the same time, I'd like to put out there that the idea of "multiculturalism" is just another tool in the tool box of the Marxists - this whole idea of multicultural acceptance and political correctness wasn't some simple accident - this was planned and executed by the Left in this world. Look at America and view the idea that Americans have to give up some of their rights to accommodate the Muslims into this country. Look at the fact that Senator Lindsay Graham even went so far to say that the First Amendment was just an "idea" when he was confronted by the violence of Muslims offended by it.

The question is this - will an American President stand up in three or four years and declare that American multiculturalism is a failure here or will we have stood fast years before and squashed this Marxist idea?

The Myth Behind Multiculturalism

Multiculturalism, although theoretically a great utopian idea is proving to be a recipe doomed for failure like mixing vinegar and oil. The world can no longer tolerate the increase of violence such as suicide bombings, roadside bombs and along with injustices felt to be foreign to their cultures, imposed on us. With these uprisings there is increasing efforts and more countries around the world are beginning to say “no” to multiculturalism, including saying "no" to the veil.

Presidents, prime ministers, public servants, private citizens and others are irritated and tired of having to adapt to immigrants rather than immigrants adapting to their new countries and western culture. It’s become a “take it or leave it” situation, no longer worrying about whether we in the West are offending others, individuals, their communities or their cultures.

As psychoanalysts and observers we introduce the concept of adaptation, based on the works of the famous psychoanalyst Heinz Hartmann who claimed that the healthy baby, child or person learns to adapt to their environment, whereas the unhealthy ones insist on the environment adapting to them. Hartmann focused on how the realistic part of the psyche known as the ego has its own destiny in the ability to adapt to new environments. In applying Hartmann's concept to multiculturalism we believe it is fair to say that immigrants have a civic responsibility to adapt as long as the environment is acceptable.

Hartmann was himself an immigrant from Nazi Germany and knew of what he spoke and wrote. (We hasten to add that both of us are immigrants as well.) He was one of the first to move away from the intrapsychic world to the importance of the environment. The problem we see in accepting multiculturalism is it does not take adaptation into account. Instead for the most part, most Muslims feel it is up to their adopted country to adapt to them under the guise of being "misunderstood" with the accusation that westerners lack empathy and sympathy toward their “cause.”

Anthony Pagden, author of Worlds at War presents another issue that is the clash of civilizations where East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet. This is precisely the problem for adaptation, which becomes far more complex because for over 1,000 years, the majority of Muslims have basically not had to adapt nor have they had to incorporate western ways of life, and the ones who have, have put their own lives at risk.

Even the alleged golden age of Spain and its convivencia tended toward more parallel communities living under the domination of Islam while being categorized as dhimmis, the "protected" (lege patronized) class of Christians and Jews in particular who were, by the way, basically treated at devalued females.

Let us now say a few words about multiculturalism and how under the guise of religious freedom one can act out their most destructive fantasies. Basically, multiculturalism as critiqued by social scientists and politicians shows the inability to adapt and the setting up of parallel enclaves within a larger society in a social benefits-oriented dependency. German Chancellor Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy along with British Prime Minister David Cameron have noted the failure of this once trendy academic ideology, spear headed by the likes of the now dead Edward Said whose multiculturalism was and has been an attack on Israel in particular. Our effort is not to trace out the origins of multiculturalism, but to look at it from a psychological point of view in order to enhance an understanding of why it is doomed to fail. From our point of view it is inextricably linked to the concept of adaptation. Submission, compliance, control and domination obviously do not mix with adaptation. These are elements engrained in a cult-like environment where the group bands together and under the rubric of saving face, support honor killings and suicide bombing as average normative behavior.

One cannot discuss multiculturalism without making reference to the veil and the symbolic covert message it conveys. Those who want to live under Sharia law in the West want to impose it. However, western women do not want the veil imposed on them or for that matter on any other woman as it represents the repression of women’s rights and the dark shadow behind creeping Sharia. One former Muslim, Al Fadi, recently expressed the irony he finds in all of this, that it is

“ . . .appalling that some Muslims always like to impose Islamic rules and traditions on others everywhere they go or live. It is frustrating to read or hear of such complaints by Muslims directed against others, when in fact Muslims tend to deny others the very same rights who live in Islamic countries under Islamic law.”

Westerners no longer see the veil as an exotic accoutrement but rather as a symbol of potential violence, hostility and vengeance but most especially the suppression of women as compliant and obedient. We believe that a significant majority of western women “get it” that these women who don the burka and any of its forms have been mentally if not physically beaten into submission though many would deny it. This is so, as we speculate, that they are highly dissociated due to being chronically terrorized and that they have formed an identification with their aggressors. Ironically, the veil has such poor fit since many western women want to shop until they drop in short skirts and low cut dresses without shame.

To conclude: the West has always embraced people of various cultures and has extensively tried to help them integrate, welcoming immigrants with open arms. Our hospitality has gone too far and it is now ego-dystonic to suddenly have immigrants take over and impose their laws and values as found in Sharia law. We must not be blinded with benevolent myopia to note how the rise of terrorism and the endless threats to the West are causing more people to see beyond the myth of this vision to a fantasy called multiculturalism. We now need to look beyond the veil to see multiculturalism for what it really is -- how it does not lead to more freedom of expression but rather it has lead to an insidious political correctness, more violence and threats of more terrorism.

Taliban Announce the Start of Their Spring Offensive..."Operation Badar" Begins Tomorrow

I think it's encouraging that the Taliban have adopted the NATO and U.S. tradition of naming an offensive...as the Taliban announced "Operation Badar" will begin tomorrow in Afghanistan...now the Taliban can chalk up one more form of westernized tradition that they have adopted.

Each and every year of the War in Afghanistan we have seen the infamous "spring offensive" when these trolls come out of the mountains in search of blood and food. You will recall that last year in 2010, the heralded spring offensive was a complete dud. Well, the Taliban have been more specific this year in who they intend to target with Badar.

From The Long War Journal:

The Taliban have announced that they will launch their 'spring offensive' against the Afghan government and Coalition and Afghan forces starting on May 1. The announcement comes just one day after top US officers warned of a major Taliban offensive that will start this week.

In a statement released on their propaganda website, Voice of Jihad, the Taliban announced they will launch operation "Badar" starting on May 1. The statement is attributed to the "Leadership Council" of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan," which is better known as the Quetta Shura. Badar (or Badr) was a battle fought and won by the Prophet Mohammed in Mecca, Saudi Arabia; the victory is attributed to the divine intervention of Allah.

The Taliban said Badar's primary targets would be "foreign invading forces, members of their spy networks and (other) spies, high-ranking officials of the Kabul Puppet Administration, both military and civilian, members of the cabinet, members of the parliament, Heads of foreign and local companies working for the enemy and contractors."

The Taliban specifically signaled out members of the Afghan High Peace Council as a primary target of attacks as the council seeks to promote reconciliation and blunt the terror group's ability to fight against the Afghan government and Coalition forces.

Now, that's a pretty extensive list of enemies the Taliban have targeted but they forgot to list some that they will go after. Allow me to finish the list:

  • School children who are brazen enough to wish to learn how to read and write
  • Women who have looked at a man in the past six months
  • Women whose ankle was showing when they bent down to get water from a river
  • South Korean women in the country as missionaries
  • All westerners in the country who are there giving aid to the sick Afghan people
  • Any muslim who doesn't buy into the Taliban's form of Islam
Obviously, we're hoping that we are looking at another dud this spring in Afghanistan but I would be on the alert for tomorrow - I'm guessing that the Taliban are going to want to start their announced offensive with a big bang.

Taliban announce beginning of their 'spring offensive'

"Since members of the American espionage agencies, government officials of the Puppet Administration and enemies of the Afghan people and Jihad have ensconced themselves in the so-called Peace Council and are trying to pave the way for the prolongation of the American occupation by cashing in on the name of Jihad, religion and tribal chieftainship; wants to prevent Mujahideen from waging Jihad against the invaders and are urging the Afghan Mujahid people to accept American slavery and surrender, therefore, members of the Council can be target of the Mujahideen attacks during the operations as, in view of their role, they are considered official members of the ranks of the enemy," the Taliban statement read.

The Taliban offensive would focus on "military centers, places of gatherings, airbases, ammunition and logistical military convoys of the foreign invaders in all parts of the country." The Taliban said that their tactics would include "group and martyrdom seeking attacks," or suicide attacks and assaults; "group offensives," or massed assaults; "city attacks," ambushes, and IED attacks.

The Taliban also said that "strict attention must be paid to the protection and safety of civilians during the spring operations by working out a meticulous military plan."

However, during past and present operations, the Taliban have been responsible for the vast majority of civilian deaths in Afghanistan. According to statistics compiled by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan last summer, the Taliban are responsible for 76 percent of the civilian deaths, while Coalition and Afghan forces are responsible for just 12 percent of the civilian deaths.

While publicly the Taliban have claimed they seek to limit civilian casualties, a secretive directive issued by Mullah Omar last year shows the Taliban have no qualms about attacking civilians, including women, who cooperate with the Afghan government or Coalition forces.

The announcement of the beginning of operation Badar takes place just one day after senior, unnamed NATO military officials briefed reporters that the Taliban will launch a major offensive at the end of this month.

"We're tracking credible intelligence that senior Taliban leaders, backed by the Haqqani network, plan to conduct attacks throughout Afghanistan from the end of April," one official said, according to Reuters. "They're attempting to regain momentum after the progress by the coalition over the last year."

Also yesterday, the US Department of Defense released its biannual report on the status of the war in Afghanistan. In the report, the military said the Taliban's momentum has been blunted by intensive conventional and special operations offensives. But the Taliban will seek to reverse their losses, particularly in the southern provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, and Uruzgan, where the Taliban have lost their traditional base of power.

Syrian Protesters Now Are Armed....Oh, and Syrian Troops Are Under Iranian Command

Syria is spiraling downward quickly as the protesting movement in the country, ordinary citizens across the country, are now being armed and there are even reports that the protesters now have anti-tank weapons. At the same time, more information is coming out that it is Iranian Revolutionary Guard commanders that are directing the efforts of Syrian troops and security forces.

From the report at DEBKA:

For the first time in the anti-Assad uprising, elements of Syria's popular protest movement are turning to armed revolt on lines similar to those marking the Libyan conflict. Wednesday, April 27, armed civilians were seen for the first time, some openly carrying anti-tank weapons, in the Daraa district of the South and Banias and Jableh on the coast, the primary targets of the regime's armored-backed offensive on the six-week old protest movement.

debkafile's military sources report that these dissidents resorted openly to arms after discovering that Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) officers were masterminding the brutal crackdown against them, lending the Assad regime the experience they had gained in crushing the 2009 anti-regime opposition in Tehran.

Okay, so let's set the stage....Iranian commanders order Syrian tanks into a Syrian city's fringe and as the tanks enter a dark street, two anti-tank weapons are fired by protesters hitting both tanks and killing four or five Syrian tank crew members. Let's just say that happens...can you imagine what is going to happen next?

This situation in Syria makes Libya look like a game of kickball. We also have to consider how much is going down in Syria that isn't not being reported or discovered. I'm sure the Iranians are taking some frustrations out that they have with their own unrest on the Syrian people.

At the same time, this must be encouraging for Israel...if Assad's military is so inept that they need Iranians to come in and take up leadership roles, imagine what the Syrian army command is like.

Syrian protesters gain anti-tank guns. Iranian officers direct Assad's troops

At the UN Security Council Tuesday night, US ambassador Susan Rice directly accused President Bashar Assad of mustering Iranian assistance to repress Syrian citizens "through the same brutal tactics that have been used by the Iranian regime."
Our Washington sources report that the US, Britain, France and other European countries are not waiting for the Security Council to condemn Syria. As an American official put it, "in the near future," the US plans to issue a series of sanctions against heads of the Assad regime and its security agencies. There is also talk of war crimes charges against the president's brother Maher Assad who is in command of the military assault on the protesters.
In Syria meanwhile, Western military sources predict that the next stage of the Syrian crisis will see protesters-turned-rebels shooting at the military tanks and armored vehicles spearheading the assaults by commando units on foot in the towns under siege, while snipers pick off demonstrators or ordinary passers-by from the rooftops.

In the first two days of the military operation, the tanks have been rolling through the streets sowing panic and fear in targeted cities and providing cover for the soldiers shooting civilians at random. Disabling the tanks, the protesters believe, will disarm that tactic, which has been directed first against the million inhabitants of Daraa and its outlying towns in the Horon province Tuesday, April 26.
There, under tank cover, small elements of the 132nd Brigade of the Fourth Division commanded by Mahar Asasad are holding Daraa under virtual lockdown, having cut off essential supplies of food and water, electricity and external communications.

Still, the town refuses to be broken or starved into submission.
Tuesday night, small units of foot soldiers protected by tanks were on standby night outside Banias and Jableh and Wednesday morning, elements of the 47th Brigade of the Fourth Division were poised to follow a tank charge into Hama.
If Assad loses his tanks, he will need to deploy many more soldiers to shoot the protesters off the streets and carry out mass arrests and so increase the hazards of defections, mutiny and the army's breakup.
For Damascus, the Syrian ruler is pursuing a different tactic. To conceal the massive military involvement in the crackdown from the capital's population, thousands of undercover soldiers were told to remove their uniforms and issued with black coveralls without insignia for raids on the Damascus suburb of Duma and protest centers elsewhere in the capital. They are intended to look like policemen.

It's Time To Face It America, Dearborn, Michigan Has Been Lost To Islam

It's over. The first American city to fall to the advancing horde of Islam is now safely in Muslim hands and much of the nation will now sit back and wait to see which will be the next city to go from patriotic American hands to the mitts of the islamists.

The trial and kangaroo court in Dearborn, Michigan of Terry Jones has shown once proud and Constitution loving Americans bow down to the threat of Islam and they have submitted our personal liberties to the rule of allah.

From the article at Family Security Matters:

Dearborn Police Chief Haddad, Wayne County Prosecutor Moran, and Judge Somers’ responses to the Islamist communities’ threats of violence, violated Jones’ first Amendment Rights. Al-Qazwini said that what Terry Jones is doing is a crime in “our society.” Good Islamists are duty-bound to avenge a crime against Shariah Islam. Al-Qazwini accused Pastor Jones of committing a “crime” against Shariah Islamia. Judge Somers chose to acquiesce and in doing so failed to uphold American laws, which are the Supreme Law of the Land, not Shariah. The judge also failed to acknowledge the Dearborn Muslim communities’ responsibility to observe American law.

The crime Al-Qazwini was referring to is blasphemy. The Dearborn Islamists claimed to be defending insults against Muhammad and Allah, by Terry Jones. They also believed he might continue to do so in the future. The Imam or Sheikh is the supreme leader of the community in matters both civil and religious. Most all good Muslims will blindly follow their Imams’ directives to remain in good standing. The individual Muslim is under great pressure to conform or unthinkably lose their honor and standing in the eyes of their family and community.

Judge Somers should have thrown out this case from the beginning. Judge Somers, Police Chief Haddad, Asst. Prosecutor Moran, Prosecutor Kym Worthy, should all be fired for violating their oaths of office to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

If you remember, during the mid term election campaign, Sharron Angle of Nevada made reference to the fact that sharia law was taking hold in America and gave up the city of Dearborn as an example. The mayor of Dearborn was outraged (as was the liberal media) and the mayor actually invited Angle to Dearborn to prove to her that she was wrong.

Well, Mr. Mayor of Dearborn, Michigan...this trial of Terry Jones invited all of America to view what is actually the case in your city and what we have seen is a bunch of Americans who have submitted to Islam. You and your city are an embarrassment. Last I checked, you surrendered your city to the islamists without firing a single shot. You sounded pretty convincing back in August of 2010 but now the mask has come off...your mayor's office is obviously housed in the minaret of a mosque...and your city officials apparently get on their hands and knees five times a day.

So which city is next, America?

The Dearborn Islamist Political Machine and Pastor Terry Jones

The non-violent actions of Terry Jones are being claimed as the cause for the threat of violence by Dearborn Michigan’s Islamist political machine. This is a clever lie. Terry Jones’ trial in Dearborn illustrates how the Dearborn Islamist community tried to blame Terry Jones for their illegal threats and potentially violent behavior. The Dearborn Chief of Police, Ron Haddad and Prosecutor Kym Worthy, did the bidding of the Islamist majority in that city, by enforcing Islamic Blasphemy laws, and negating Terry Jones’ and Wayne Sapp’s Constitutional First Amendment rights. Jones is the victim of a direct assault on his First Amendment right to free speech by a municipality that is 46% Muslim. The Dearborn Islamist political machine should itself be on trial, for using the threat of violence to achieve a political end, by silencing Pastor Terry Jones and Rev. Wayne Sapp.

During cross examination at the Pastor Terry Jones trial on April 23, 2011, Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad testified that Imam Al-Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America said, “that for some members of his Mosque, burning the Quran was considered a crime.” Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Robert Moran, stated at the trial that Al-Qazwini said, “burning the Qur’an is worse than 1000 deaths. That’s what the citizens of this society believe.”

Robert Spencer writes,

“Liaquat Ali Khan teaches commercial law, arbitration and international law at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He argues that Muslims should petition Congress to outlaw the burning of the Qur'an because doing so incites violence -- in contrast to the burning of the American flag, which, he says, the Supreme Court declined to outlaw because "no disturbance of the peace actually occurred or threatened to occur."

Pastor Terry Jones, according to court testimony, received 300-400 death threats related to his scheduled protest in front of the Islamic Center of America. Four of those death threats originated from the Detroit area and one of those four was traced by law enforcement officials to the South End of Dearborn Michigan. These death threats were ignored as an important element of this story, as reported by the mainstream press.

The only threats of violence were from the Islamist community. During cross examination by Rev. Wayne Sapp, Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad begrudgingly testified, that Pastor Terry Jones gave him no indication they were going to burn a Qur’an or do anything provocative or violent. Court records indicate Jones testified his intention was not to protest the Mosque but to protest Jihad and Shariah (Islamic Law).

Who is really guilty of inciting violence, the Muslim community with their threats, or Pastor Jones, by his actions? Because it would be self defeating, I do not endorse the burning or desecration of the Qur’an. There are enough incriminating revelations from Allah himself in the Qur’an if anyone opens the book and reads the text.

Pastor Jones burned a book that was his own property. Jones, to my knowledge, has never threatened or harmed anyone. According to court testimony, Jones has a clean record and passed a government security check to obtain his concealed weapons permit. The First Amendment guarantees Jones freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble. How the Dearborn community responds is the sole responsibility of the community and government officials.

How individuals react to someone exercising their free speech falls squarely on the individual’s shoulders, regardless of race, religion, sex, creed, or national origin. Each person must take responsibility for their actions, according to the law in the USA. Al -Qazwini states Jones’ burning the Qur’an is considered a “crime” by some in his community. During court testimony Police Chief Haddad said he denied Jones’ permit for fear Muslim violence would occur. Chief Haddad came to that conclusion through discussions with Al-Qazwini and upon learning of the 300+ death threats against Terry Jones.

Liquat Ali Khan got it right when he implied that if you want to stop an offensive action, just threaten violence.

J.Mark Campbell filmed a juror who stated that the jury reached their guilty verdict by concluding that Jones’ protest, if allowed, could possibly be the spark that would ignite Dearborn’s Muslim community to violence or riot. The juror who said this was in violation of Judge Somers deliberation instructions.

Juror instructions by Judge Somers:

“Non violent expression of an unpopular or unwelcome political or religious belief, by itself, is not enough to find a Breach Of The Peace. Even if the expression of that belief causes someone else to react with anger or alarm.”

Judge Somers should have thrown out this case from the beginning. Judge Somers, Police Chief Haddad, Asst. Prosecutor Moran, Prosecutor Kym Worthy, should all be fired for violating their oaths of office to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp knowingly or unknowingly exposed how far the city of Dearborn will go, to advocate on behalf of their Muslim majority. They did so by enforcing Shariah blasphemy laws because of fear, intimidation, and threats of violence. Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp challenged the Islamist machine in Dearborn, exposing how we must stand up against threats of violence to prevent a Shariah compliant outcome. Our Freedom of Speech is too precious and fragile to be disregarded and shredded by the Dearborn Islamist Political Machine.

The Thomas More Law Center is defending the First Amendment rights of Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp. The mainstream media and general public must demand that Islamists in Dearborn are held accountable for their threats of violence and riot. The strategic use of threatening violence by the Dearborn Islamist Political Machine to achieve a Shariah compliant political end, is the conversation we will have as this case moves forward.

Al Qaeda Suicide Bomber Hits Cafe' In Morocco Full of Infidels, 14 Are Dead

Islamic terror reared its ugly head again today in a major way when a cafe' in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh was the target of an al Qaeda suicide bomber - when the dust, blood and guts had settled, 14 people (11 of which were tourists) were dead and over 20 people were wounded. Make note of the fact that this cafe' was hit primarily due to the high traffic of western infidels that frequent it - this is a hallmark of al Qaeda.

From the article at Yahoo News:

A massive terrorist bombing tore through a tourist cafe in the bustling heart of Marrakech's old quarter Thursday, killing at least 11 foreigners and three Moroccans in the country's deadliest attack in eight years.

At least 23 people were wounded in the blast a few minutes before noon in Djemma el-Fna square, one of the top attractions in a country that depends heavily on tourism, Moroccan Interior Minister Taib Chergaoui said.

Government spokesman Khalid Naciri told the AP it was too soon to lay blame for what he called a terrorist attack but he noted that Morocco regularly dismantles cells linked to al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb and says it has disrupted several plots.

At least eight French citizens were being treated at Marrakech's main Tofail Hospital, along with one Canadian, a British citizen and three Moroccans, emergency room chief Hicham Nejmi said. Others were being treated at a military hospital and a handful in private clinics.

April marks the start of Morocco's tourist season, when visitors gather to watch snake charmers, storytellers, jugglers and local musicians, filling the cafes that ring the edges of the iconic square on the route to the city's major open-air souk, or market.

"There was a huge bang, and lots of smoke went up. There was debris raining down from the sky," honeymooner Andy Birnie, who lives in north London, told The Associated Press by telephone. "Hundreds of people were running in panic."

Let's face it...Morocco is ripe with radical islam...it's ripe with terrorists who usually offer their services outside of this terror appeasing country. Morocco is full of islamists who are waiting to go back and conquer Spain, for pete's sake. The only reason we are seeing a terror attack in Morocco today is because al Qaeda saw a chance to take out a bunch of infidels - a reminder to those of us in the West that we are not welcome in a muslim country.

So, 14 people will be buried in the next week. Some will have to be shipped thousands of miles back to their grieving families. Why? Because Islam must be the only "religion." Because Islam means submission. Submit or die. Those are the choices they give us. Or should it be...submit, die or fight back and win?

Terrorist attack hits cafe in Morocco, 14 dead

MARRAKECH, Morocco – A massive terrorist bombing tore through a tourist cafe in the bustling heart of Marrakech's old quarter Thursday, killing at least 11 foreigners and three Moroccans in the country's deadliest attack in eight years.

The explosion blew much of the facade off the two-story terracotta-colored Argana cafe, leaving awnings dangling. Panicked passersby dragged away bodies and tried to put out flames with fire extinguishers, witnesses told The Associated Press.

"I believe the injured were mostly tourists, judging by what they were wearing," Alexandre Carvalho, a 34-year-old call center worker from southern Portugal, told the AP by telephone.

At least two French nationals were among the casualties, although it was not immediately clear whether they were dead or wounded, judicial officials in the French capital said. President Nicolas Sarkozy confirmed that the victims included French citizens.

UK Foreign Secretary William Hague said the British ambassador was travelling to Marrakesh, although he gave no immediate confirmation of British casualties.

This former French colony has enjoyed relative stability and political plurality compared to some of its neighbors, but King Mohamed VI holds the final say in all policy, and the country's largest Islamist movement is banned from politics.

The king has pledged constitutional reforms in response to several largely peaceful protests over the past two months that were inspired by popular uprisings that pushed out autocrats in nearby Tunisia and Egypt.

Germany, which said none of its citizens had been hit, urged that the attack "must not lead to the reform process that has been initiated in Morocco being undermined."

Al-Qaida's affiliate in North Africa stages regular attacks and kidnappings in neighboring Algeria. Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb is holding four Frenchmen hostage after kidnapping them in Niger last year, and recently released new images and audio recordings of their voices.

Morocco, however, has been mostly peaceful since it was hit by five simultaneous terrorist bombings in Casablanca in 2003 that killed 33 people and a dozen bombers linked to the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group, a local militant group also been implicated in the deadly transit attacks in Madrid in March 2004.

In April 2007, two suicide bombers died in attacks by the U.S. consulate in Casablanca, the economic capital.

Moroccan authorities have rounded up thousands of purported terror suspects in recent years and while they "regularly discover terrorist cells ... nothing led us to foresee an act of this magnitude," Naciri said.

"Morocco has an international image of welcome, hospitality and tourism," he told the AP. "An act of this magnitude will leave its mark."

The "No Go" Zones of Europe ...Islam Begins the Final Conquest

This story from Family Security Matters is powerful. And infuriating. Once again we see the Europeans at war with Islam...and enemy the Europeans willfully invited into their midst amongst the empty and veiled promises of the multiculturalists. When you read this article and view the many videos, I promise you that the first reaction from you will be that this simply will never happen in America...well, I'm here to tell you that it HAS begun in parts of America. And there are millions of Europeans that said the same thing ten or fifteen years ago.

I'll continue to hammer the point. Muslims are not emigrating to America for religious freedom or promises of economic success or individual freedoms. They are coming here to conquer America. Just as they are well on their way of doing in Europe.

Below you will find a video which I hope disturbs the hell out of all of you. This has to be shown to everyone in this country. Following the video you will see the article but I encourage you to to to the link above to the actual site so you can view all of the videos embedded there.

World domination by Islam doesn't always mean the conquering of a country on the battlefield...sometimes it starts shop by shop, block by block, street by street. Watch this video and picture this woman as your wife, your mother, your sister, your niece. Feel the rage grow inside of you. Harness it. Focus it. You are going to need it.

Muslims Creating No-Go Areas in Europe

The video below was aired on CBN news. It is a shocking account of how a Parisian store-keeper, a non-Muslim, has been threatened and intimidated by Muslims to make her close her shop. She refuses, but she has had acid thrown at her, she has been raped and attacked on numerous occasions.

France has a higher number of Muslims than any other country in Europe. Politically, President Sarkozy appears to recognize that overly high numbers of Muslims are not good for French social cohesion. Sarkozy is already trying to modify the Schengen rules of Europe to prevent the free movement of Tunisian refugees to France. The Schengen agreement allows any resident of Europe to travel freely within 25 of the 27 European Union nations, without the need for border controls. Italy, whose island of Lampedusa was swamped with economic migrants from Tunisia, has granted six-month visas to thousands of the migrants, and France cannot sustain so many new arrivals. Many of these migrants are heading towards Britain, where a liberal welfare benefits culture awaits them.

Another CBN video shows the extent of Muslim failure to mix with French secular society.

The North African Muslim communities of Paris were the main instigators of riots that took place in the northern suburbs of Paris in the fall of 2005. The riots began after three Muslim youths had run from police, and had tried to hide inside a turbine at an electricity substation. The youths were electrocuted, and two died. The riots then spread throughout Paris and Ile de Cite, with further outbreaks in other large cities with high Muslim populations, such as Lyons, Marseilles and Toulouse in the south.

One should not forget the manner in which such communities are run. The older generation of migrants from North Africa are often out of work, and the power in their fractured households is devolved to young males. Samira Bellil broke the silence about the plight of young women in such households, where many girls who do not wear the veil and adopt Western attitudes are – at the command of these young tyrants - subjected to gang-rape. Young women who are forced to be raped in turn are called “tournantes.”

Samira Bellil, who died of cancer on September 7, 2004, wrote a book on her own experiences of being made into a “tournante”. This book, called “Dans L’Enfer des Tournantes” (Inside the Hell of the Gang-raped) opened the lid on a deep-rooted malaise at the heart of France’s North African communities.

Bellil co-founded a group to assist women who were subjected to similar abuse within France’s Muslim communities. This group, called Ni Putes ni Soumises (Neither whores nor submissives) is still active in demanding emancipation of women subjected to the innate sexism of Muslim oppression.

I documented the fast growth of Muslim-dominated gangs in Britain in a three-part article for FSM in 2008. The article can be read here, here, and here. Such gangs have murdered non-Muslims who wandered onto their “turf”. The worst incidents of Muslim gang violence have involved a South London Muslim group called “The Muslim Boys,” who shot a young man called Adrian Marriott for failing to convert to their form of Islam, and an appalling case from Scotland. Kriss Donald, aged only 15, was abducted from a street by a Muslim gang simply because he was white and not Muslim. He had never met his attackers. Kriss was beaten, stabbed thirteen times, and set on fire. His body was found near a cycle track in Clydeside. Seventy percent of his body was covered with burns. There were rumors that he had been castrated.

While male Muslims take over streets of Europe, the plight of the women within such Islam-dominated segregated communities becomes worse. They are forced by their peers to wear veils and to become “submissives.” Those who do not comply with the prevailing veiling norms are then subjected to intimidation. In London this month, a non-Muslim woman of Bangladeshi origin was told: “Wear a headscarf or be killed.” The woman lives in Whitechapel in East London, where a large proportion of women wear the veil.

Feminists in Britain blithely assume that wearing the veil is a lifestyle choice and ignore the evidence of coercion and compulsion.

In December, Nidra Poller discussed the problem of Muslims illegally taking over a street in Paris where they lay down carpets and pray in the road, completely blocking the thoroughfare. Nidra's article featured a video, which can be seen here:

The situation of Muslims in Italy engaging in prayer in the open (illegally taking over public spaces) really began in Bologna. Here the San Petronio cathedral in Bologna has had threats of bombing, because it contains a 600-year-old fresco inside, painted by Modena. This fresco, inspired by Canto 28 of Dante’s Inferno, shows Mohammed on a rock, with his body split and his bowels extruded. On several occasions in 2006, Muslims in Bologna decided to hold illegal prayers in the square outside the cathedral.

In Moscow too, Muslims engage in illegal occupation of a public street to pray.

Illegal public prayers are often “justified” by claims that they do not have enough space in mosques to pray, but allowing illegal displays only gives citizens the impression that Muslims are “above the law.” Such notions undermine social cohesion and can lead to conflict.

In the 1990s in London, the extremist followers of Abu Hamza took to blocking off streets near Finsbury Park to pray. These actions took place when Hamza had been barred entry from the Finsbury Park Mosque. Police allowed this illicit behavior to continue openly. Hamza, who lost both hands and an eye while making explosives, is now in prison for “soliciting murder.”

Currently, the male political Muslims who encourage such illicit actions are being granted concessions by the authorities in Europe. While such Islamist intransigence is allowed to spread, then women from Muslim communities will become almost invisible (as they are in Brick Lane in London) and in the shadows they will be denied the freedoms that are granted to other women in free societies.

While the authorities in the United States appear to base their treatment of Muslim groups upon the failed models that are employed in Europe, how long will it be before parts of America will become no-go zones for non-Muslims?

Maybe, in Dearborn, Michigan, such a process has already begun.

The New "Welcome" Sign On Ann Barnhardt's Front Door

Oh, and all of the multiple indoor and outdoor video feeds (with audio) are being wirelessly uploaded to an offsite server. So if any drama goes down, the entire spectacle will be on YouTube within hours. In other words, screwing with me is BEGGING for total, worldwide humiliation.

THIS, my friends, is how we do things in the United States of America.

The Brilliance of Barack Obama: Let's Pull the Commander of ISAF and American Forces In Afghanistan Out Just As Progress Is Made

So the news is out that Robert Gates leaves Secretary of Defense the end of June (I'm amazed he made it this long) and will be replaced by Leon Panetta and then Gen. David Petraeus will leave command of the Afghanistan War to replace Panetta as head of the CIA. I'm not all that upset about any of this other than the fact that it is HORRIFIC timing with Petraeus. We just saw Petraeus take over from Gen. McChrystal not that long ago and Petraeus has made some good progress in the war effort. I've blogged about this in the last few months that Taliban attacks are down, IED attacks are down and in general, the Taliban have been less active. I realize it is Spring just coming to Afghanistan but to say that Petraeus hasn't put in some good strategies and tactics would be an injustice.

The article below at the Associated Press mentions that Petraeus will hang on in Afghanistan a "couple of more months" before making the move. Well, isn't that just peachy. Perhaps Barack Hussein Obama thinks that the Taliban are going to give our troops an official escort out of Afghanistan in luxury limousines complete with champagne and fresh fruit?

The fact of the matter is that this summer is going to be rough for our troops - WITHOUT any changes...but now we change command, we start rewriting the manuals, we change directions and all of that shit and then wonder why things start to go to hell.

Why not send Penetta over to the State Department and then name an interim CIA director for six months or a year? Well, I guess that might make sense if you were actually trying to WIN the war in Afghanistan or if you actually gave a shit about our troops.

Obama sending Panetta to Pentagon, Petraeus to CIA

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a major national security reshuffle, President Barack Obama is sending CIA Director Leon Panetta to the Pentagon to replace Robert Gates, a widely praised Bush holdover, and replacing Panetta at the spy agency with Gen. David Petraeus, the high-profile commander of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Obama's changes, expected to be announced at the White House on Thursday, also will include a new ambassador and war commander in Afghanistan. However, they don't signal any major adjustment in the president's Afghan strategy or the fight against violent extremism.

The moves cement a planned drawdown of U.S. forces in Afghanistan in July and allow Obama to replace Gates, a Republican, with a Democrat with partisan credentials. That appointment also diminishes speculation that Petraeus might become a Republican presidential challenger in 2012.

In the largest change, Gates would step down after managing the turnaround of the Iraq war under President George Bush and the expansion of the Afghanistan war under Obama. He told top Pentagon staff Wednesday that he had recommended Panetta as his successor six months ago.

Gates plans to retire on June 30, officials said, and the White House hopes to win Senate confirmation for Panetta before then. Petraeus would remain in his battlefield job for a few months while the first of the approximately 100,000 U.S. forces in Afghanistan withdraw. Petraeus plans to retire from the Army before assuming the CIA job in the fall, officials said.

Marine Corps Lt. Gen. John Allen will move from his post as deputy commander of U.S. Central Command in Florida to take over the Afghan campaign, and veteran diplomat Ryan Crocker will become U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, officials said.

All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the changes had not yet been announced by the White House.

The appointments point to a stay-the-course approach in national security strategy over its next two years, especially in two key areas: the war in Afghanistan in what is expected to be a make-or-break year, and the counterterrorism fight in Pakistan.

Allen and Crocker will be charged with managing a gradual lessening of the U.S. role and a transition to Afghan leadership. Petraeus would take the helm at the CIA against the backdrop of a fractious relationship with Pakistan, which wants a greater say in U.S. counterterrorism actions in Pakistan's frontier regions.

"The White House is maintaining broad continuity," said John Nagl, president of the Center for a New American Security and member of the Defense Policy Board. "Everyone who is coming in are all current in the game. They've been working these issues."

Panetta and Petraeus already have worked closely together and have spent time with military and intelligence leaders in both countries.

A U.S. official who confirmed Panetta's move to the Pentagon said the White House chose him in large part because of his extensive experience in the field during his time as CIA director. The official said Panetta had traveled more than 200,000 miles, to more than 40 CIA stations and bases, and more than 30 countries.

Panetta has also won praise within the CIA by famously winning a showdown at the White House with the former director of national intelligence, retired Adm. Dennis Blair, over who would choose station chiefs overseas. He also argued against the prosecution of CIA employees for their use of enhanced interrogation techniques like water boarding against al-Qaida suspects during the Bush administration. Congressmen praised him for reaching out to their intelligence committees, traveling to Capitol Hill for monthly coffee sessions to rebuild trust.

"The pros are that he is experienced in politics, the Hill, the budget and intelligence," said Michael O'Hanlon of the Brookings Institution. "The cons are that he is not generally known as a classic defense strategist or planner in terms of deep familiarity with operational concepts of war," or with extensive experience with the uniformed military.

Panetta presided over the greatly expanded use of unmanned, armed Predator and Reaper drones aimed at militant suspects in Pakistan.

Petraeus is no stranger to coordinating battle by drone. He has helped push for a quadrupling of drones in Afghanistan, both armed and as surveillance platforms to gather intelligence.

Panetta's experience as a former director of the White House Office of Management and Budget in the Clinton administration will come to the fore, said Todd Harrison of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessment.

Gates has come up with $400 billion in cuts to the defense budget for the next 10 years, and Obama has asked him to come up with $400 billion more, a task that will now fall to Panetta, if he is confirmed for the job.

Panetta "knows how OMB works, knows the inner workings of the budget process at the White House," Harrison said. "So I think he will be better equipped to negotiate DOD's top line budget than any of the other candidates."

Despite speculation that Obama might choose Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to succeed Gates at the Pentagon, Clinton took herself out of the running in numerous public declarations. She also has made it clear she intends to retire from government when her current service as secretary of state ends.

Petraeus, who took over as Afghanistan war commander last June, had been expected to leave that post before the end of this year. He would bring a customer's eye to the CIA job as one of the key people to use intelligence provided by the agency and the military during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Petraeus is credited with helping build a relationship in Iraq with the CIA and the military's elite counterterrorism unit, the Joint Special Operations Command, that led to a tripling of missions against al-Qaida of Iraq and other militant groups.

Before his departure, Petraeus is mapping the phased drawdown of roughly 30,000 forces Obama added to turn around the stalemated Afghan fight last year. Petraeus says battlefield gains have allowed that withdrawal to begin but cautions that the Taliban are far from beaten.

He has said he will present Obama a menu of options for a drawdown from the current level of 104,000 U.S. troops.

The president is expecting choices of how many troops, how fast, and with what associated risk, with the assumption that the faster the withdrawal the greater the risk, according to two senior administration officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the war strategy.

The White House is already leaning toward a significant drawdown, with an ideal goal of reaching pre-surge levels of roughly 70,000 troops by early next year, one US official said, but the pace is dependent on how U.S. troops weather the Taliban fighting season, which has only just started.

Petraeus' replacement, Allen, was one of the key commanders who implemented the Sons of Iraq program in Anbar province, which was credited with drafting former militants into cooperation with the coalition. That program is similar to the nascent Afghan local police program, a sort of armed neighborhood watch sanctioned by and paid for by the Afghan government, that U.S. officials believe could be key to securing remote parts of Afghanistan and enabling a faster U.S. departure.

There will also be a wholesale change on the diplomatic side in Kabul, with other top officials at the Kabul embassy leaving their posts along with current Ambassador Karl Eikenberry. Among others departing will be Anthony Wayne, the deputy ambassador, and William Todd, the embassy's director of development and economic affairs, who coordinates all non-military U.S. assistance to Afghanistan, one official said.

Group of Intelligence and Law Enforcement Experts Send Letter To Congress Demanding Investigation of Muslim Brotherhood Subversion In America

This is awesome. Since Eric Holder and his band of islamic terrorist appeasers in the Justice Department are content to sit on their hands and allow every tom, dick and harry jihadi group infiltrate America, a think tank type group of defense, intelligence and law enforcement experts have sent a very detailed letter and report to Congressional leaders demanding a thorough investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood's activities in America and a look at the case of creeping Sharia in our land. Bravo!

From the article at Family Security Matters:

In a letter sent yesterday to congressional leaders, the authors of a groundbreaking report entitled Shariah: The Threat to America called on the legislative branch to do something the executive branch seems determined not to undertake: A rigorous investigation of the extent to which the Muslim Brotherhood’s stealthy “civilization jihad” has gained access to and influence over the United States government, with grave implications for the national security.

Team B II’s letter cited recent revelations by one of its members, counterterrorism expert Patrick Poole, who published over the past fortnight a series of explosive quotes provided by an unnamed senior Justice Department official in the course of a six-hour interview. Particularly worrying is the allegation that a federal criminal prosecution of Muslim Brotherhood-associated individuals and organizations was “scuttled last year at the direction of top-level political appointees within the Department of Justice – and possibly even the White House.”

At issue is the intended second phase of prosecutions arising from the evidence introduced in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial – the largest terrorism funding trial in U.S. history. The first phase resulted in five convictions based substantially on Muslim Brotherhood documents that established the Brotherhood is explicitly engaged in a “civilization jihad” in the United States, a conspiracy to “destroy the Western civilization from within.” These documents also identified 29 prominent Muslim-American groups as “our organizations and organizations of our friends.” The planned second part of the Holy Land Foundation prosecution would have resulted in the indictment of some of those listed as unindicted co-conspirators in the first phase.

We have to understand something in all of this and that is the fact that Attorney General Eric Holder is a piece of shit. He has been derelict in his duties on many occasions. Most of you remember the Black Panther Party voter intimidation case in Philadelphia that was not investigated by Holder's people and the coverup of that decision. Well, we are looking at the same behavior in the arena of islamic terror inside of America. Let's face it, there is countless evidence of the reach of the Muslim Brotherhood inside of our country - they have splinter groups from coast to coast and there is evidence that they have ensured a flow of funding from America overseas to known terrorist groups. But Holder does nothing. Absolutely nothing.

During the Bush presidency, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was forced to resign because of his letting some U.S. attorneys go...yet Eric Holder has endangered the people of America on numerous occasions and I have YET to hear one Congressman or Senator ask for his resignation. Why is that?

Team B II Wants Islamist Penetration of U.S. Government Investigated

n a letter sent yesterday to congressional leaders, the authors of a groundbreaking report entitled Shariah: The Threat to America called on the legislative branch to do something the executive branch seems determined not to undertake: A rigorous investigation of the extent to which the Muslim Brotherhood’s stealthy “civilization jihad” has gained access to and influence over the United States government, with grave implications for the national security.

Team B II Letter to Congressional Leaders

The group known as “Team B II” includes experienced defense, intelligence and law enforcement practitioners – notably, former Director of Central Intelligence R. James Woolsey; Lieutentant Generals Harry E. Soyster and William G. Boykin, the former Defense Intelligence Agency Director and former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, respectively; former Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet Admiral James A. Lyons; and former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy.

Their letter provides a powerful rejoinder to the public address given yesterday by Attorney General Eric Holder. While General Holder insisted that his department (and presumably other government agencies) will continue their “outreach to all communities,” Team B II warned leaders on Capitol Hill:

[There is] evidence that – thanks to misbegotten official “outreach” efforts to self-appointed “leaders” of the Muslim community – Brotherhood influence operations have been highly successful in penetrating and interfering with our law enforcement, homeland defense, military and intelligence communities’ performance of their vital missions. If that is the case, the implications could not be more serious, and the need for corrective action could not be more acute.

In a letter sent to General Holder last week, Rep. Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, confirmed the charges made by Mr. Poole’s source:

I have been reliably informed that the decision not to seek indictments of the Council on American Islamic Relations (“CAIR”) and its co-founder Omar Ahmad, the Islamic Society of North America (“ISNA”), and the North American Islamic Trust (“NAIT”), was usurped by high-ranking officials at Department of Justice headquarters over the vehement and stated objections of special agents and supervisors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as the prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Dallas, who had investigated and successfully prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation case. Their opposition to this decision raises serious doubt that the decision not to prosecute was a valid exercise of prosecutorial discretion.

On the occasion of the release of the Team B II letter, co-author Frank J. Gaffney Jr., whose Center for Security Policy sponsored Shariah: The Threat to America, remarked:

The Attorney General’s efforts to deflect attention from apparently well-founded charges of official misconduct must not prevent Congress from engaging in an aggressive investigation of those charges and the larger context of Muslim Brotherhood activity in Washington and across America. It was heartening to hear Rep. Pete King declare last Sunday on Fox News that the House Homeland Security Committee and House Judiciary Committee may have to take further action to find out why the Justice Department dropped the terror finance prosecutions. We call on those and other congressional panels – on both sides of Capitol Hill – to take up as well and as a matter of the utmost urgency investigations of the nature and extent of the Brotherhood’s “civilization jihad” against our government, civil society and Constitution.

From the WTF Files....NATO/Afghan Forces Attack Pakistani Troops At Border Check Point, 3 Afghans Killed, 2 Pakistanis Wounded

I am still trying to figure this article out from DAWN where there is the claim that NATO and Afghan forces attacked a security checkpoint at the Afghanistan/Pakistan border with the end result of three Afghan troops being killed and two Pakistani security personnel being wounded. I'm not sure if we have AP and Dawn News reporters high on something or if indeed this indeed happened.

According to the story:

Two Pakistani personnel were wounded when Afghan and Nato forces attacked the Pakistani border check post in South Waziristan’s Angoor Adda area on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Pakistani security forces retaliated the attack on the Pak-Afghan border and three Afghan soldiers were killed as a result.

Exchange of fire at the site of the clash was ongoing between Pakistani and Afghan forces.

However, no official statement confirming the incident was issued by the government.

Moreover, an AP report quoted officials as saying that Afghan and Pakistan forces traded artillery fire in two places along the border.

Now, we have seen some isolated incidents of trading artillery fire between the Pakistanis and the Afghans over the years but I do not recall ever before seeing a claim of an actual attack on a Pakistani checkpoint. At the same time, I think this claim in the article that NATO forces were involved is bullshit.

This might be some Pakistani reporter who has some nationalistic hair up his ass or a tender spot for the Taliban trying to just stir things up but obviously, if we DO have NATO forces in a firefight with Pakistani troops, it's pretty darn big news.

Nato, Afghan forces attack Pakistani check post; two wounded

PESHAWAR: Two Pakistani personnel were wounded when Afghan and Nato forces attacked the Pakistani border check post in South Waziristan’s Angoor Adda area on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

In one incident, a Pakistani official said two soldiers were wounded on Wednesday in the Angoor Adda.

Villager Ahmadullah Wazir said several shops were damaged.

Separately, Pakistani officials and Afghan military official Abdul Rahman said that border guards exchanged fire in North Waziristan late on Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

The incidents appear unrelated. The Pakistani officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to the media.

Afghan and Pakistan forces occasionally trade fire but the incidents rarely escalate or have diplomatic consequences.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Celebrated By 2.1 Billion People Across the World...Isn't An "Important " Thing To Obama

You know, it's gotten to the point where Barack Hussein Obama and his administration don't even TRY to hide their disdain for Christianity. A number of months ago I saw some liberal journalists on a news show completely aghast how ANY Americans could think that Obama is a Muslim ...well, when the spokesman for the President laughs off the whole idea of Easter and what it means to the Christians in this country and literally doesn't know if a statement on the holiday was issued or not...well, I'd say that might fuel the fire for someone thinking Obama is a Muslim. After all, we Americans have only been exposed to two types of people that scoff at Christianity like this and they are atheists and Muslims.

Here's the video of Obama's press secretary yucking it up over the silliness of putting importance on the sacrifice of the Son of G_d:

I don't get it. Why was that question so funny? Why isn't that a valid question? We've seen Barack Obama go out of his way to send a message out for Muslim holidays that no one in this country even knows about, yet the most important holiday of the Christian faith is treated by this press secretary putz like it's back page story. If Obama's got the time to hop skip and jump around the White House lawn helping some little girl roll her "spring sphere" then why doesn't he have 10 minutes to record a message of devotion to his Savior?

This President of ours no longer wears a mask, people. He no longer fears any repercussions in this country. He simply feels he is encased in teflon. And he's in the process of laughing in all of our faces. One might say he's almost....daring us.

P.s. watch the video quickly because Real Clear Politics is trying to remove it everywhere - at the link at Fox, the video has been removed according to my efforts to play it there.

Here's the story from Fox:

White House Laughs Off Obama Not Giving Easter Proclamation

President Obama failed to release a statement or a proclamation recognizing the national observance of Easter Sunday, Christianity's most sacred holiday.
By comparison, the White House has released statements recognizing the observance of major Muslim holidays and released statements in 2010 on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.

The White House also failed to release a statement marking Good Friday. However, they did release an eight-paragraph statement heralding Earth Day. Likewise, the president's weekend address mentioned neither Good Friday or Easter.

WH Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked about this today and laughed ... "Haha, you know, the President went to church yesterday, it was well covered, I'm not sure if we put out a statement or not ... "

A surprised reporter noted that Easter was the holiest of Christian holidays and asked Carney "You don't KNOW if you put out a statement?" Carney snickered again, bowed his head and retorted, "I'm glad you're asking me these important question guys."

Syria Sends Tanks Into Key Protest City of Daraa, 25 People Killed

The Syrians are trying some major brutal moves to try and finally stop the people of the country from continuing their rising up against the Assad government when yesterday, they attacked the city of Daraa with a huge troop force along with plenty of tank support. When the dust settled, at least 25 protesters lay dead.

From the report at Breitbart:

Syrian troops backed by tanks have moved into the flashpoint town of Daraa, killing at least 25 people, witnesses said, as Damascus was accused of choosing the military option to crush dissent.

The Syrian army, however, insisted it had been invited into the southern town at the request of citizens to hunt "extremist terrorist groups".

Witnesses said troops also launched assaults on the Damascus suburbs of Douma and Al-Maadamiyeh, as a leading Syrian rights activist accused the regime of going for the "military solution" to end six weeks of dissent.

The United States, which has repeatedly condemned Syria's repression, was considering sanctions against Damascus.

"The United States is pursuing a range of possible policy options, including targeted sanctions, to respond to the crackdown and make clear that this behaviour is unacceptable," said National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.

It has now become more than evident that the Middle East's and north Africa's bloodbath against civilians is NOT Libya, it is Syria and this is the shaky ground that Obama placed himself on when he rationalized the Libya operation as being that of protecting innocent civilians. More people have died in Syria than in Libya yet Obama's administration's answer to Syria's action is some strong words and perhaps some sanctions...not bombs and predator drones like in Libya.

I, personally, cannot come up with the reason for Obama's continued support of Syria - it's definitely linked to his hands off approach to the revolution that happened in Iran. I don't see a particular affection for Shias by Obama but it is becoming clear that our President certainly will go a long way to stay out of a confrontation with the Iranians. If I had to make a guess, Syria is off limits for American intervention because Obama doesn't want to jeopardize the leverage he is setting up against Israel. He has been successful in assisting the Egyptians turning a complete about face and more or less becoming an Israeli enemy now and he needs the Syrians to be well entrenched military on Israel's other border.

Either way, since Obama made the fatal mistake of detailing his reasons for intervention in Libya, he now is left holding the bag regarding Syria. But hey, when you have the main stream media in your hip pocket, it's not like you'll have to answer for it.

Tanks storm Syrian flashpoint, 25 dead: activists

Monday's assault began at dawn with 3,000 to 5,000 army and security forces swooping on Daraa, with tanks taking up position in the town centre and snipers deploying on rooftops, activists said.

The operation came less than a week after President Bashar al-Assad signed a decree to abolish nearly five decades of draconian emergency rule in a bid to placate protesters demanding political reform and the fall of the regime.

Activist Abdullah Abazid told AFP Syrian forces pounded Daraa with heavy artillery and that "at least 25 martyrs have fallen".

"There are still bodies sprawled in the streets," he said by telephone, with the sound of loud explosions and gunfire in the background.

A group of activists said in a statement "more than 25 people fell but no one could reach them because of the heavy shelling" and that only seven bodies were retrieved, including a father and his two sons.

The army disputed these reports, with a military official saying the troops entered Daraa "in response to calls for help from" citizens to rid them of "extremist terrorist groups" behind a spate of killings and sabotage.

The official, quoted on state television, said troops backed by security forces clashed with gunmen and the confrontations led to "a number of martyrs in the ranks of the army and the security forces".

Activists said troops fired anti-aircraft guns and seized at least two mosques as well as the cemetery where scores of people killed in anti-regime protests are buried.

"The minarets of the mosques are appealing for help. The security forces are entering houses. There is a curfew and they fire on those who leave their homes. They even shot at water tanks on roofs to deprive people of water," said a witness.

A huge crackdown was also reported in Douma, a large suburb in northern Damascus, and nearby Al-Maadamiyeh, said activists and residents reached by telephone.

"The situation is dramatic. Patrols man each alleyway and prevent people from going out even to buy bread," one resident said.

Security forces "surrounded a mosque and are firing indiscriminately. Streets are cut off from each other and Douma is isolated from the outside world," an activist said.

Some 390 people have been killed in security crackdowns since the protests erupted, rights activists and witnesses say.

Amnesty International said tanks were used to shell civilian buildings in Daraa, commenting: "The Syrian government's brutal reaction to its people's demand for change has reached a new and outrageous low."

"President Bashar al-Assad must call a stop to this now. He must pull back his army from Daraa immediately and ensure that basic services to the city are restored," said Malcolm Smart, Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa Director.

Assad signed decrees on Thursday scrapping repressive emergency rule, abolishing the state security court that has tried scores of regime opponents, and one to "regulate" protests.

A day later, tens of thousands of people swarmed cities and towns to test the government's sincerity, but scores were killed by security forces, activists and rights groups have said.

Prominent rights activist Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP that Monday's crackdown showed Damascus had decided to crush the protests militarily.

"It is clear that the Syrian authorities have taken a decision for a military and security solution," said Abdel Rahman, who heads the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay denounced the killings from Geneva saying "we are seeing such disregard for human life by Syrian security forces".

So far, Washington has not threatened to recall its ambassador to Syria, a post filled in January after a six-year absence, as President Barack Obama sought to court Damascus as part of a broader Middle East diplomatic push.

"Having an ambassador in Syria has allowed us to be in Syria, basically, in the presence of the government to make our views known directly and not be a long distance (away)," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

Britain, France, Germany and Portugal were meanwhile seeking a UN Security Council condemnation of the violence and an independent probe into the killings.

Video: FIVE STARS! German Woman Stands Up To Radical Islam

Watch during the video as one of the Muslim men approaches out of nowhere and decides to get in the face of this brave woman. I can think of a few places in this world where a "man" getting in the face of a woman like that would live to regret it. If any of my German readers happen to recognize the dude in the white shirt and ball cap, let him know that German and American women don't cower from the likes of him like his burqa'ed sheep do.

THIS Is What Is Wrong With America

Here's what is wrong with America....

Every single dumbass Liberal in this country that is disappointed by someone in their life, brings a lawsuit against the person who disappointed them. And when that same Liberal gets their wittle feelings willy hurt, then they run to their city council member or their county commissioner or their state legislator or their Congressman to have a new law drafted so no one will ever get hurt like they did.

And THAT is what is wrong with this country.

In a nutshell.

P.S. Grow the Hell up.

Cheesiest Prison In Afghanistan Sees Another Taliban Prison Break, More Than 450 Taliban Are Free Tonight

Dammit this pisses me off. You know, our troops are working their asses off in Afghanistan risking everything to kill and capture Taliban and al Qaeda and when we do put hundreds and hundreds of the bad guys behind bars, the Afghans are so fucking stupid that they can't even keep watch over prisoners. This jailbreak last night in Kandahar happened at the same damn prison where a few years ago literally a thousand prisoners escaped. Obviously, nothing was done to shore up this prison after the first break.

From the story at The Long War Journal:

The Taliban sprung more than 450 senior commanders and fighters last night from an Afghan prison in the provincial capital of Kandahar.

The Taliban prisoners escaped from Sarposa prison in Kandahar City yesterday using a "350 metre-long tunnel," according to Al Jazeera. The news organization said that 540 Taliban "officers" and fighters escaped, while the Associated Press reported that 476 Taliban escaped.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, in a statement released on the Voice of Jihad website, claimed credit for the jailbreak and said that "106 commanders" were among the 541 escapees. The identity of the prisoners has not been disclosed.

Mujahid also said the tunnel was built over the past five months, while a handful of inmates inside Sarposa were aware of the plot.

"As per plan, Mujahideen started digging a 360 meter tunnel to the prison from the south side, which was completed after a 5 month period, bypassing enemy check posts and Kandahar-Herat main highway leading directly to the political prison," the Taliban statement read.

Mujahid also said that a suicide team was prepared to carry out a diversion, but "the need did not arise due to the inaction shown by the enemy." The US military did find suicide vests inside the tunnel, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Imagine that you are an American Marine or soldier and find out that nearly all of the bad guys you have captured in the past six months are now free...back on the line to take more pot shots at you. Good grief.

And I'm not even talking about the Taliban that the Afghan government has been voluntarily releasing in a show of some sort of perverted "good will."

If the damn Afghans can't hold these guys, then why the hell do we even bother with the capture and the inherent risks? Apparently we need Americans to even show the Afghans how to run a damn prison, too.

More than 450 Taliban leaders, fighters escape from Kandahar jail

The Taliban sprung more than 450 senior commanders and fighters last night from an Afghan prison in the provincial capital of Kandahar.

The Sarposa prison is notorious for its lax security. In June 2008, Sarposa was the scene of a major Taliban jailbreak. More than 1,100 prisoners, including 400 Taliban fighters, were sprung from the Sarposa prison by a well-trained assault force, which used a massive suicide truck bomb and heavily-armed fighters to penetrate the front gate. The prison was poorly guarded and the more than 1,100 prisoners easily escaped.

Yesterday's jailbreak takes place as Afghan and Coalition forces and the Taliban vie for control of the Afghan south after operations ejected the Taliban from their traditional strongholds in the provinces. ISAF has killed and captured thousands of fighters and hundreds of commanders during conventional operations and conventional raids over the past year. The influx of 100 leaders and estimated 400 fighters will be welcomed by the Taliban, which have been hit especially hard in the south.
